- WTC7WasPulled, on 01/10/2008, -6/+41And imagine the Neocons tried to paint Ron Paul as a racist. American people should feel insulted by the neocon elites to think they are really that stupid. Ron Paul is a man who loves every individual and will fight to the end for the liberty of every individual. Dr.Paul continues the fight of Dr.King against racism. The fight for individual rights.
Thank you Ron Paul and we won't stop the fight. No matter election fraud or ridicule we won't stop until the American people and the people of the world know the truth. America can be great once again. Peace.- GhostyBoy, on 01/10/2008, -0/+9When the odds look dim or even impossible we have to remember what it is we are fighting for, and how important it is. Generations depend on our commitment to the message of peace and freedom in the face of even the most overwhelming diversity.
Never give up hope. Even if we fail, I for one will go down content in the knowledge that I fought for something worth saving.
I will go down fighting, or not at all.

He doesnt even slur people who attack him. He wouldnt even say anything like that. Every time I see pathetic arrogant touchholes like you and the rest of your little clique tearing Ron Paul down, I'm more convinced than ever that supporting a man of his obvious character and integrity is a thing that must be done.

- theuniversal, on 01/10/2008, -19/+6There are some good things about Ron Paul. But Ron Paul is very much for state rights and thinks the federal government should stay out of what state legislatures do. When MLK marched there were states that were dead set against equality for blacks. As we all know, the federal government forced them to integrate. It's still an issue with schools today. MLK was about freedom and equality for individuals, not freedom and equality for state legislatures. So give us a ***** break.
- Herkimer56, on 01/10/2008, -14/+10The Federal Government forced them to uphold the US Constitution. That's something that people like Ron Paul are still fighting.
- ringelman5, on 01/12/2008, -0/+4Allow me to correct, O haughty herky:
That's something that people like Ron Paul are still fighting FOR.
You're welcome, hypocrite.
- ringelman5, on 01/12/2008, -0/+4Allow me to correct, O haughty herky:
- theuniversal, on 01/10/2008, -8/+8No, Ron Paul is fighting for his interpretation of the constitution, which favors a weak federal government and strong state governments. His position on abortion is one example, where he has no problem with a state legislature asserting control over a woman with an unwanted pregnancy. In other words, he puts the religious views of the state majority over and above the right of an individual to choose.
- ostracize, on 01/10/2008, -1/+8Better it be the religious views of the state over the collective majority of religious views across the country. Why should Texas' views influence Maine's? Or Utah's? Or Hawaii's?
Any viewpoint that could differ by demographic should be decided at the state level.- card51short, on 01/10/2008, -5/+6dude it's pure evil...all part of Ron Paul's crazy scheme to exterminate the nation's population.
You should talk to Herk about it...he'll use one of those voice disguisers and meet you in a dark alley at 3 am to tell you all about it.- ostracize, on 01/10/2008, -1/+5I'm Canadian and we had to implement this to keep the French happy. And let me tell you it works. Sometimes the Federal government will mandate something that the provinces must follow eg. free Health care, but we let the provinces run it their own way and it works fine.
This concept of conglomerating departments at the federal level only serves to divide the populous and causes these branches to steal valuable resources from each other (eg. Military taking money that could be spent on health)
- ostracize, on 01/10/2008, -1/+5I'm Canadian and we had to implement this to keep the French happy. And let me tell you it works. - rizzo2008, on 01/10/2008, -1/+5No the constitution says in the 10th amendment in the bill of rights
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
It is the states purpose to choose not the Federal government's - Paul is correct- dinsy, on 01/10/2008, -0/+4You would think this would not be that difficult to grasp. I think the founders thought that future generations would intuitively understand empowering individuals to support freedom but TV and education has deprogrammed the public to the point where they don't realize the threat of tyrannical government.
- ostracize, on 01/10/2008, -1/+8Better it be the religious views of the state over the collective majority of religious views across the country. Why should Texas' views influence Maine's? Or Utah's? Or Hawaii's?
- UKLooney, on 01/10/2008, -0/+10Shouldn't state legislatures uphold people's freedoms too?
- chaosium, on 01/10/2008, -7/+5Ron Paul and his cronies don't give a *****. It's your "freedom" to be oppressed if you're poor or otherwise unable to change states.
- ringelman5, on 01/12/2008, -0/+4Every state's constitution I have read contains the equivalent of the Bill of Rights.
It is up to the citizens of each of those states to make sure that their constitutions' provisions are followed.
- Herkimer56, on 01/10/2008, -8/+8State legislatures should but frequently they do not. That's why we have a Supreme Court which forces state legislatures to obey the Constitution. Of course Ron Paul does not agree with that. He's even introduced legislation which would prevent the Supreme Court from hearing certain types of civil rights cases. Remember that when a Ronbot tells you that Ron Paul is for equal rights they are either ignorant of Ron Paul's real agenda or they are lying to you.
- rizzo2008, on 01/10/2008, -1/+5Show us the bill that supports that statement. He was upset with the supreme court for not hearing a case about religious freedom specifically "under God." He would actually want to appoint a strict constructionist to the Supreme Court who would obey the constitution more closely.
- swaddict, on 01/10/2008, -1/+5"When MLK marched there were states that were dead set against equality for blacks. As we all know, the federal government forced them to integrate. It's still an issue with schools today." You can force integration, but you can't force equality as a cultural value. The laws are a quick fix to say "we did something". If integration was such a good idea, then why is it still an issue with schools today? Values cannot be imposed, they have to be willingly accepted.
- chaosium, on 01/10/2008, -6/+2The hicks will never accept it, but their integrated children did in number, and their grandchildren do even better. I'm not concerned about the retarded southern holdouts.

In his haste to play both the race card AND the phobic ***** card, chaosium provides us with a fine example of the disorganized thought processes which provided the inspiration for his moniker.
Still trying to figure out why blacks would need to be allowed access to their own establishments. Or why being 'gay' (what a Newspeak perversion of a word that formerly denoted normal frolicking) requires consent.
Fail for syntax.- maxtangent, on 01/12/2008, -0/+3Good call.

>>>bohemian club is evil, and probably more racist than the history of the mormon religion, joseph smith was a mason/illuminati before he started his own CULT. nazi germany was in control of the area they named isreal in 1948 and nazi's are still running it is obvious by what they do. the US had operation paperclip to bring nazi war criminals to the US with full pardon: rocket scientists to give us NASA, propaganda artists to steer government and public opinion of it, security specialists (SS) to form the CIA that bush senior was part of since its creation. this is why the US government (infiltrated heavily with nazi's) jumps anytime isreal says "frog", they are the SAME NAZI'S. but SOME PEOPLE just dont get it, dont want to hear it.

Please, PLEASE refrain from posting warmongering government apologist propaganda alongside Dr. King.- jcm267, on 01/10/2008, -5/+7Martin Luther King believed in nonviolence. He would not have accepted Osama bin Laden's excuses as a reason to not go to war. I can just about guarantee that. I cannot tell you what Dr. King would have proposed we do about Islamic Jihadists and, though I'm pretty sure he would not have advocated going to war, I'm willing to say that he wouldn't paint them as the innocent party that your sides seems to do. Why do you believe in the war when there is so much evidence that it is based on lies? Don't you know that questioning the government's motives is a part of the American spirit? It is what established this country. If you support the war(s) then you are supporting liberal nation building policies that will one day cause this country to collapse.

Do Ron Paul supporters ever actually READ his writings? He is not pro-liberty. He is anti-Federal power. If States want to arbitrarily restrict liberty, that's fine with him.- chaosium, on 01/10/2008, -12/+2That man would have told MLK to his face that the solution to segregationism is to allow sundown towns and all blacks should just move to another state.
- card51short, on 01/10/2008, -1/+9no he woulda looked him in the face and said we need to stop all these unconstitutional laws of treating people differently because of something as stupid as race.
- chaosium, on 01/10/2008, -9/+1That's exactly my point.
- artemus, on 01/14/2008, -0/+1No, your point was that unconstitutional laws AID people. His was that they discriminate against them. Do you want to stop now, or do you wish to continue embarrassing yourself?
- card51short, on 01/10/2008, -1/+9no he woulda looked him in the face and said we need to stop all these unconstitutional laws of treating people differently because of something as stupid as race.
- rizzo2008, on 01/10/2008, -1/+10WRONG. Ron Paul is against forced integration not legal segregation which he is vehemently opposed to
- harlowsmonkeys, on 01/10/2008, -7/+2His vehement opposition doesn't extend to actually preventing it. His policy is that it is a State matter, and if a State wants to do it, they can. He may personally think that States should NOT do it, but that won't stop them. What stopped them was Federal power.
- rizzo2008, on 01/10/2008, -1/+4the Federal government only has the right to step in when the states are violating the rights afforded to all people in the constitution. Otherwise it is up to the states to decide. With segregation the federal government stepped in to enforce prohibition of legal segregation which is a violation of of the constitution.
- harlowsmonkeys, on 01/10/2008, -3/+2Your last sentence is ambiguous. Are you saying the Feds violated the constitution by stopping segregation, or that the States violated it by enforcing segregation, and so the Feds were Constitutionally justified in ending it?
Ron Paul's view is the former. Read his writings on the 14th Amendment, which is what the Feds used to justify stepping in. In Paul's view, the Supreme Court was wrong to decide that the 14th made much of the Bill of Rights applicable to the States. - Observant1, on 01/14/2008, -0/+2no, the feds were up to their ears with the people trying to stop it. they infiltrated the equality movement with radicals to stir more racist hatred. they infiltrated the hippie movement with hard drugs so they lost it and got rounded up.. then they made new racist laws to even more unfairly unbalance the problems and forcing integration on the schools to promote even more confrontations. same goes for "gay rights" and "hate crime" laws.. you have to have experienced it all first hand to see past the smoke and mirrors con jobs being pulled.
- chaosium, on 01/10/2008, -6/+1One and the goddamned same.

- deboosher, on 01/10/2008, -2/+21im canadian, but i wish i was an american, so i could vote in this election. instead of just digging these ron paul stories, you better get out there and vote, otherwise you're doing nothing for your own liberty.
- swaddict, on 01/10/2008, -2/+18RP is a tricky dude. He voted against a medal of freedom for Rosa Parks. Does that make him a racist? He also voted against the same for the Pope. A bigot? He voted against it for Ronald Reagan.
What was his reasoning for voting against the Rosa Parks medal? He was not against the medal at all. He simply thought that tax money should not pay for it. If Congress wanted to give her a medal, than how about they all buck up and pay for it themselves. When was the last time you heard of a politician willing to spend his/her own money and not government money? And Ron was willing to pay for the medal himself. Is that something a racist would do?
Looking at Ron's views really challenges me to think. And those challenges can be uncomfortable. It forces me to think about how much politicians are influenced by special interests, so how much do they really care about me? His consistency makes me realize how inconsistent other politicians are, how we get promised the same thing from year to year which never happens. His resolve makes me realize how often other politicians have been pushed and bullied into taking actions they would not normally do. His refusal to accept corporate or special interest money makes me wonder how much money other politicians accept, and how much does that influence affect them?
Just how screwed up are things? - rizzo2008, on 01/10/2008, -1/+12RP's real views on Racism and government (older pre-campaign article)

http://www.freemarketnews.com/WorldNews.asp?nid=41 ... - elleanee, on 01/11/2008, -1/+8Ron Paul is the epitome of a latter-day prophet. He's persecuted by the ignorant masses, all the while he's bringing a message of peace, prosperity, and liberty to the American people. We can only pray for those ignorant masses, unduly influenced by the yellow journalism of the old media and the endless greed and inhumane criminals running our country, that they wake up before it's too late and we've lost our freedom and individuality in enslavement to the elite ruling class.
- czernel, on 01/11/2008, -2/+7Ron Paul is the man this country has been waiting for.
