Kerry Launches New Antismear Website "The Truth Fights Back"
politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com — 4 years after finding himself the target of a slanderous campaign-year book from whacko wingnut Jerome Corsi during his own campaign, Kerry launched a Web site to discredit Corsi's latest work of fiction, which takes aim at Sen. Obama. Site shows the truth not only about the candidate being smeared, but about slimeballs behind the smear machine.

The Truth:The "best-seller" status of the book was achieved through the use of large bulk purchases.
This is a common tactic of the smear machine for these books: sympathetic rightwing organizations and individuals make large purchases of these books to push the book onto the best-seller lists to try to give the book a cover of legitimacy the lies and distortions wouldn't give it on their own.
The publisher of this book is a company (surprise surprise surprise) headed up by Dick Cheney's long-time spokesperson, Mary Matalin.
Like his other books, Corsi's book is littered with lies and distortions.
Media Matters has numerous falsehoods in its first pass.
