This is pathetic. Hilary is far from crossing the line when it comes to campaign strategy. If you think she is running a dirty campaign you know nothing of politics. She doesn't owe Obama anything, especially not an apology. They should be thanking each other mutually for keeping the mudslinging to a minimum. Just wait 'til Rove plays the role of puppeteer behind the scenes of McCain's campaign. We'll see what Obama is made of when he faces that ruthless juggernaut. That is if he wins the nomination which is anything but a forgone conclusion.
Oh and did you see the guy last night on Leno, he does an awesome Obama.
Obama just opened his Reading, PA campaign headquarters a week or so ago... How come every time I walk by the people inside look so dead eyed and sad? I have yet to see a smile or a wave from anyone inside They all just look straight at you with no expression, no hope, no future.
It is amazing how Obama supporters have suddenly become the biggest group of bitches ever created. Your guy is WINNMI(NG! No need to whine like little bitches!
And again...continuing to spam digg will only lead to any submission with Obama's name in it NEVER making the front page ever again...like with Ron Paul. Tell me, how wil that help you bitch in the fuutre?
Why does everyone always have to apologize for what they say? Is this some pansy politics or something. The feminism of American Politics. Gotta love it. Since when was running for an office some sacred act? People going for high office do it because it is a position of power. Stop with this "im sorry" crap. It's annoying.
"That's why I've never understood the rabid Hillary haters"
You know, I'm sorry, overall this is a good article and he makes a good point. But I have to question his judgement after reading that line. If you're going to say Hillary Clinton is an 'good and decent American[] who [has] served [her] country with distinction' you may as well say the same about George W. Bush. The woman is underhanded and dishonest. She has demonstrated that she is absolutely incapable of winning a fair race and she has tried every trick in the book, up to outright lies, to twist the election in her favor. I learned my lesson from Bush, I do not want the same despicable character traits elected to lead this nation.
We need change, I'm not 100% sure Obama is going to bring that change but I am 100% certain about this:
Given the choice between a candidate who must use lies and theatrics to win and makes claims of experience, or, a candidate whose speeches actions and campaign tactics show a wealth of knowledge that can only come from experience, my choice is clear.
what we have is two children constantly arguing who are incredibly unqualified to be president. hillary lies so often you almost get numbed to the fact that integrity means zero to her. it is her turn to be president. bill said she could!
"In the past few weeks, I've been increasingly disturbed by the gratuitously negative tone of the Clinton campaign."
What campaigns don't put the other party in a negative light? People care more about the politics involved in politics rather than the actual details involved with what they are debating about.

Obama owes every woman apology for not putting the toilet seat back down! First he just peed on it, now that he actually puts it up, he doesn't in turn put it back down.
Personally, I really don't see an apology coming from the Clinton camp as weak politics nor do I see the people who ask for that apology misunderstanding of politics in anyway. Having the Clinton camp take responsibility for their actions and owning up to what they do would be a good example of how politics should be. I wouldn't want anyone in office to be only concerned with their personal accomplishment for power, I'd rather have someone in office with the personal integrity to take responsibility for themselves.
"I would expect that kind of nonsensical fear mongering from a Republican, but I'm disappointed when it comes from a fellow Democrat."
I think that sums it up. Unfortunately, at the time of the California primaries, I didn't feel strongly either way and didn't vote. However, shortly following that, I became increasingly disgusted with how Hilary is campaigning. Like the author said, she's campaigning like a Republican. The entire reason I tend to vote Democrat (not registered to the party) is because I can't stand the dirty underhanded tactics that Republicans tend to employ. And what disgusts me more is that voters fall for it. This ain't Jerry Springer folks, this is our future. Stop feeding off drama.
This tread is a retard fest, I'd bet half of the people here did not even read the article in full and the other half is rabid about what they think is ``the real truth``. Here are free pointers, make what you will of them:
1- Mudslinging is not good ``politics`` it's called filling void.
2- Karl Rove is smart, granted, but if you remember correctly he's the one who destroyed McCain's 2000 campaign with false accusations and sleazy tactics. Somehow I doubt McCain, a honorable man (whatever any demagogue may say), would accept his advise.
3- Politicians are not their campaign staff and entourage, stop saying Obama is a racist or Clinton's a demagogue or McCain's a nut job BASED on what people around them say, but on what they say and how they react to the controversies created by their people (if they prove that they are racists/demagogues/nut jobs, then so be it).
4- tough campaigning is not lying, cheating, Ad Hominen attacks and the like.
5- Judge politicians by their platforms, not their speeches (I'm looking at you Obama-fan). The worst thing you can do to a position is to defend it weakly with false statements, half-truths and rhetoric. Everyone in the race has some interesting policy positions, USE THEM to make your point.
6- ``Check spelling``, look up your info before posting it, if you try to out-fact someone, please give references.
7- Hateful comments only polarize the extremists and reinforce their narrow-mindedness while alienating people that are moderate and could be crucial for your candidate in the upcoming election.
8- When answering a thread, try to answer the person's claims with arguments.
9- Don't judge a book by it's cover.
10- Remember that the President does/will not run the country by himself/herself but with a team. Consider that when you vote...
This is the problem with all you Hillary Clinton apologists. You say, 'this is politics boohoo', but did you forget that this is simply the democratic nomination? It already feels like the presidential election.
I won't vote for her if she manages to disenfranchise the majority and steal the democratic nomination. Why? Well, refer to sentence one and then reference the fact that she has run an excessively nasty, negative campaign, often telling lies to that end. I wouldn't support that even if she did it to a member of the opposite party. I'd be just as against her. Whereas, McCain has been willing to speak positively of both Democrats when necessary. It pains me to say this, but it's Obama or McCain for me--or maybe nothing unless McCain can convince me otherwise.
"I've had it with the Clintons....I've been increasingly disturbed by the gratuitously negative tone of the Clinton campaign....Next, she all but endorsed McCain over Obama for president...She ought to be ashamed"
"I will actively support her general election campaign...."
Seriously, take a stance. This is an article intended purely for headlines.
Hillary should be ashamed?? Wow, you have mis-spoken, perhaps from lack of sleep, she and Bill have no shame and no character and they don't care who knows it. I bet you presume they liked you when you worked in the White House, they don't even like one another, why would they like you?
How do people not see the horrible character of Hillary Clinton. How can people support such transparent power hunger and self righteousness. She'll say ANYTHING no matter how ridiculous or underhanded if she thinks it will get her closer to her goal. Of course all politicians engage in mudslinging and exaggeration but there is a line for God's sake. Hillary is very shrewd and intelligent but equally dishonest and sleazy.
She "misspoke" about her Bosnia trip. Does anyone buy that? It's a LIE, she got caught.
She agreed to the DNC decision to bar the Michigan and Florida delegates. SHE AGREED. But now that she neeeeeds them
sooo badly....a re-vote is some how the right thing to do. (I agree.. there should be some reconciliation there). But her motives are soo sleazy. Lie to the American people that she wants a revote because claiming it's "Democracy" when its purely for her self preservation. I also find it interesting that she is soo concerned about Democratic process but she's willing to cast that silliness aside at the DNC convention to force the Super Delegates to give her the nomination even though she'll be behind in the pledged delegate and popular vote. So apparently Democracy only works if she's the winner.
