- InRussetShadows, on 05/10/2008, -1/+3Where's Waldo? In the same place -- the dustbin of history.
- AJ526, on 05/10/2008, -0/+1Paul is a little old.
- mejaredme, on 05/10/2008, -5/+5McCain would never consider Ron Paul. Paul is too Conservative for him. McCain is the middle of the streeter. He just wants votes--it seems--he could care less about good policy.
- bohemianowl, on 05/10/2008, -4/+4McCain Knows Paul would reject the job because Paul is a man of integrity.
- InRussetShadows, on 05/10/2008, -2/+4McCain would not consider Ron Paul for the simple reason that Ron Paul is a fever-swamp nutjob who romances terrorists in his sleep.
- clarencepaul, on 05/10/2008, -0/+2I had to laugh.
- AJ526, on 05/10/2008, -1/+0Yes a lot of these picks would seem to consider electability over how well they would do the job, that usually fuels the speculation. Most Presidential candidates pick a VP who they think will help them win. Even Bush probably thought Cheney would help him with Cheney's foreign policy experience.
- clarencepaul, on 05/10/2008, -2/+3McCain is proving himself to be senile to have a list that long of wanna-be's, with him as commander-in-chief, we are on sinking sand, he not only reaches across the aisle, he is across the aisle[liberal to the core] and soft on terrorists all while they are cutting heads off, saying to hell with the geneva convention, Islamic barbarians could care less. We better pray for a miracle candidate for that office by November, because neither of the three are qualified including him. God Help America !
- swankboy, on 05/10/2008, -1/+5Tim Pawlenty, really? An even more liberal Republican ticket? As if it isn't bad enough already. Yet another year of useless presidential candidates. This is really the best we have for the position? F-ing sad.
- hillpehle, on 05/10/2008, -0/+4It seems to me that his standing within the Conservative Community, would prompt him to pick a Hard-line Conservative as his running mate. Apparently not.
In response to some of the comments , I really like Ron Paul but, his Isolationist views can not work today. Look at what happened when the US chose the Isolationist stance under the Roosevelt Administration! Remember Pearl Harbor? If Planet Earth existed in a Utopian Society where each country kept to itself, Ron Paul would be a great President. However, our Global Society is everything but Utopian! We have no choice but to be active in World Affairs
The United States of America has only one option, present ourselves from "A Position of Strength". Although Senator McCain is not my first choice for President, he is by far the only candidate we have that will not destroy our Military in favor of Social Programs. Don't take my word for it, look at what each Democratic President has done to the Military since JFK.
Now going back the VP Candidates, a Centrist Administration is much better than a Leftist/Socialist Administration.
God Help us, None of them are worthy of the position they seek. Our Founding Fathers' must be spinning in their graves over this election.
I could go on! But I Won't.

- AJ526, on 05/10/2008, -0/+2Exactly! Who knows who he really has, likely he has a lot of other people.
