Of all the e-mail "junk mail" that I most usually forward, I believe
this one here needs to be forwarded every single time you receive it, because

Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born
in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM from
Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHIEST from Wichita,
Kansas. Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii. When Obama was two
years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then
married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia. When Obama was
6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia. Obama attended a MUSLIM school
in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic school. Obama takes
great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick to point
Out that, "He was once a Muslim", but that he also attended Catholic
school." Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear
that Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this
influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned
to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct
influence over his son's education.
Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham,
introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school
in Jakarta. Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim
terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world.
Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking
Major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has
joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim
background.
Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential
candidacy.
The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside
out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the
President of the United States, one of their own!!!! ALSO, keep in
mind that when he was sworn into office - he DID NOT use the Holy
Bible, but instead the Kuran (Their equivalent to our Bible, but very
different beliefs)
Please forward to everyone you know. Would you want this man leading
our country?.....NOT ME!!! He also WILL NOT put his hand

- jsaxton86, on 01/11/2008, -0/+30Apparently Edwards and Kerry really don't get along at all. According to an article published by Time, Edwards just completely stopped returning Kerry's phone calls after he got the nomination. Apparently Kerry went so far as to say he wished he never picked Edwards for the nomination. You can read about it here:
http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,162 ...- Gerz1219, on 01/11/2008, -0/+11This was always my favorite part of that article:
"Edwards had told Kerry he was going to share a story with him that he'd never told anyone else—that after his son Wade had been killed, he climbed onto the slab at the funeral home, laid there and hugged his body, and promised that he'd do all he could to make life better for people, to live up to Wade's ideals of service. Kerry was stunned, not moved, because, as he told me later, Edwards had recounted the same exact story to him, almost in the exact same words, a year or two before—and with the same preface, that he'd never shared the memory with anyone else."
Everyone knows that running mates are chosen to balance out the ticket. Kerry needed a lighter, more charismatic Southern counterpart, who didn't have the burden of a long voting or governing record. Edwards was basically his only option in 2004. That has absolutely nothing to do with Kerry's personal preference among the candidates in 2008. - pintomp3, on 01/11/2008, -0/+5it was an odd pairing. edwards felt he was sidelined and never heard, which is true. the democrats paired lieberman with gore before, which is was just horrible. i wonder what their reasoning is when they pick running mates. it seems to be about getting a voter block that the presidential candidate doesn't have instead of similar views on policy and general collegial relationships.
- rz8472, on 01/11/2008, -1/+6Oh my god, I remember that. It's interesting to see how the two politicians have diverged. Both were calculating 'centrists' when they first ran, but Gore has move to the left, decrying the Iraq War, the security state, and pushing for mandatory cuts on greenhouse gas emissions and universal healthcare. On the other hand, Lieberman is now moving far-right on many of his positions - steadfastly supporting the Iraq War, hanging out with his buddy McCain and the neocon crowd, making a deal with Bush not to investigate the Katrina failures, and indicating an eagerness to attack Iran.
- iofthestorm, on 01/11/2008, -1/+3Yeah, usually running mates are chosen to balance the ticket.
- rz8472, on 01/11/2008, -1/+3Say what you will about Kerry, but he made a very convincing speech:
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2008/01/10/john-kerr ...
I think a small, positive side-effect (aside from the obvious huge negative) of the 2004 election was that Kerry realized (too late to save his campaign) that the kind of calculating, triangulating policy positions that most politicians put out are not what the people want, and not what wins you a general election.
- Gerz1219, on 01/11/2008, -0/+11This was always my favorite part of that article:

He gave a great speech. I hope Jimmy Carter would be the next. Barack Obama is the leader that worlds needs for USA to bring the common sense back. End the torture camps, let the Hispanics, African Americans. Womens and all the opressed people's voice to be heard in the top levels of government. USA don't lose this chance. Vote someone who truly fits into the American spirit. - Tiak, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1Honestly... How is George Miller at all a big deal?,,, He's my rep, and I love him to death in that totally mostly-not-gay constituant-congressman kind off way, but he's just one representative, out of many that already endorse Obama, which is of course a number dwarfed by those that endorse Hillary.

- yellowcakewalk, on 01/11/2008, -20/+6Obama needs to defund Bush's wars instead of voting to fund them time and time again. Obama needs to explain his membership in the CFR. He needs to talk about what favors he owes to the nuke power industry. He needs to explain that jingoistic speech about Pakistan a couple of months ago. Needs to clarify position regarding the taboo topic of Palestine. Just spouting liberal-sounding pablum on NPR for the sheep doesn't make you an agent of change. He should replace Dennis Ross with Cynthia McKinney. Damn right.
- dn11, on 01/11/2008, -1/+9why would he need to explain his membership in CFR? every high profile politician in recent years has been invited to that club. contrary to all the tin foil fans of the world that doesn't mean there is a conspiracy afoot. even if there is a conspiratorial aspect to CFR, that doesn't mean that every member is in on it.
- rhabd0mancer, on 01/11/2008, -1/+3I thought it was his wife that was a member of CFR, not Barack.
- Revovisionary, on 01/11/2008, -0/+21As a member of the military I'm glad that Obama doesn't play with our safety by not funding the war. Bush is going to keep the war going funding or no funding. At least with funding I have a better chance of living next time I get sent out there.
- onetimer, on 01/11/2008, -1/+11I bet you were screaming "ridiculous!!" when the Bush administration told you that if you didn't support the war, you don't support the troops. Now you're employing similar tortured logic by claiming "if you support the troops, you MUST support the war" You truthers are the biggest damn hypocrites out there.
- IpecacNeat, on 01/11/2008, -1/+8Honestly, please respond to this. How could you not fund the war, knowing there are troops over there. How can you not help them any way you can, knowing you can't bring them home. Not funding these guys would kill many of them. Many soldiers don't have enough armor, so they have to buy it themselves. I would not have that. Think about the people rather than your politics for a moment.
- fadeout, on 01/11/2008, -3/+6In 2004 Kerry took on Edwards under the promise that he would not run again as president (in 2008+) if Kerry was still considering it. This time around, Edwards broke that promise and announced without consulting Kerry first. This endorsement was just a matter of time, really...

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential

The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside

Bible, but instead the Kuran (Their equivalent to our Bible, but very
different beliefs)
Please forward to everyone you know. Would you want this man leading

The flip-side of the BS was that Bush was honest, a regular guy, and never changed his mind -- except that in real life he was a liar, a millionaire playing at ranching, and changed his mind constantly.

- franklymister, on 01/11/2008, -0/+5Bush lost in 2000, and it took the Florida board of elections and the Supreme Court to install him in office. But, and I say this as a Democrat, calling the 2004 election "stolen" is just making you look like a sore loser.
First, the Supreme Court wasn't involved at all in 2004. Second, there may have been voter fraud in Ohio, I don't know, but the fact is that Kerry blew his chances big time. He should have had such a stunning majority that no amount of voter fraud could block him, but he ran a weak, ineffectual campaign, and even Democrats were only voting for him because the alternative was Bush.

Subject: Who Is The Real Barack Obama
Just FYI - Pass it along if you feel led to!
Of all the e-mail "junk mail" that I most usually forward, I believe
this one here needs to be forwarded every single time you receive it, because
just maybe there was 1 person that did not receive it the first time but
has now received it, and it is possible that this e-mail will be sent to their
whole address book, thus, making it possible that someone new that
hasn't seen this before will see it and will allow it to continue on it's way to
every home in the United States of America that has a computer....at
least that is what I am hoping and praying for!!
Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born
in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM from
Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHIEST from Wichita,

- benroy, on 01/11/2008, -5/+30Although I'm a Paul fan, I wouldn't be too disappointed if Obama won. He was my pick before I heard about Ron Paul anyway. Personally, I think that Clinton would be just about as bad as Giuliani though.
- BECoole, on 01/11/2008, -8/+11A Paul fan and you like Obama? You understand that the views of these two are about as diametrically opposed as you can get, right?
- iofthestorm, on 01/11/2008, -1/+3No, I don't think he does, but maybe he just wants a breath of fresh air and while I think Ron Paul's ideas are crazy, he is a breath of fresh air... that might run our country into the ground. This is 2008, not 1808.
- skyfire1, on 01/11/2008, -0/+2A year ago everyone on digg was saying "Vote Obama 08" but somehow Ron Paul stole his place.
- Tiak, on 01/11/2008, -1/+1Basically they're two different sides of the libertarian vote, it is no surprise.
Obama is the progressive, pro-technology candidate that in general represents the youth, and a different worldview that is more prevalent amongst younger people. He has plans that involve openness in government through technology and so forth.
Ron Paul is a libertarian, advocating limited government and low taxes. Libertarianism has long been a large part of internet culture.
Anything else about their policies is entirely incidental, and the average geek seems likely to support attributes of both, which is how seeming diametric opposites can be favored.
For that matter Kucinnich and Paul are often compared, and respect and deal with each other often, and yet, they are even more opposed in ideology than Obama and Paul.

- dn11, on 01/11/2008, -5/+6all of you going on about how this is going to hurt him are talking nonsense. repeat whatever karl rove propaganda you want about John Kerry but he was nominated once and nearly one the presidency once and is seen as a man of experience. like it or not these are the kind of endorsements he is going to need to be nominated in the democratic party. he may be drawing in a lot of independents and even conservatives but he needs to win the democratic base to get the nomination. that's something that Ron Paul supporters don't understand.
- Mothrog, on 01/11/2008, -3/+3Nearly WON (there's a difference between one and won, genius) against Bush is a pretty enormous failure on the part of a politician. Anyone with more than two brain cells should have been able to bury Bush in the popular vote.
- dn11, on 01/11/2008, -1/+3Sorry, I guess you've never had a typo in your life, good for you. So the Bush administrations fear tactics and lies won the day and Kerry is not charismatic, that doesn't mean he's poison.
- Mothrog, on 01/11/2008, -1/+2No, Bush won because Kerry didn't grasp this concept of campaigning and actually having a point when talking about the issues, oh, and constantly having his foot in his mouth.
- bubbadigg, on 01/11/2008, -0/+0that's not a typo.. the w's on the opposite end of the keyboard.... it would have been a typo if you wrote "qon" or "eon" or "wob" or "win" or "wpm"... nope, typing "one" for "won" cannot be excused as a typo. Maybe a fuk-up, but certainly not a typo.
carry on. - bubbadigg, on 01/11/2008, -1/+0Of course, the other factor may be that the grammer checker saw "Kerry" and "won" in the same sentence and made a correction knowing that Kerry has never won anything and it would be grammatically incorrect to present that sentence.
- dn11, on 01/11/2008, -1/+3Sorry, I guess you've never had a typo in your life, good for you. So the Bush administrations fear tactics and lies won the day and Kerry is not charismatic, that doesn't mean he's poison.

Plus, he is a smart guy (both he and his wide went to Harvard Law) - I think Barack will put America back on track!!!
- Greenearth, on 01/11/2008, -0/+1Totally agree.
- Qtip42, on 01/11/2008, -5/+2Just listening to some of the comments here shows how diluted most people are to obama's viewpoints. "He's smart" "He want to harvard" "He's a rockstar" ........being young and lacking experience doesn't make him any better than a clinton, edwards, or whomever. Principle should be considered #1 and I see none of it from him. Nor do I see ANY monetary policy that will help this country. He's continuing the war and not taking a rigid stance on it (yes he want to help the troops but this is not a decision for the troops...He's funding the continuance of war) and he wants to make a universal healthcare plan.......Sorry I'm not for the guy who is going to increase my taxes while doing all of these things only to lie about lowering taxes to appease people. People should understand that the income tax is not necessary at all and appeasing people by lowering it slightly is NOT the answer. Get rid of it.
- devin3m, on 01/11/2008, -1/+1LOL. John Kerry is a dolt.
- djohnmalkovich2, on 01/11/2008, -3/+1Of course they do, Kerry is part of Skull & Bones and Obama is CFR. There is no such thing as Democrats and Republicans, there is corrupted and uncorrupted.
