'Iron My Shirt!' man at Clinton event -- Was it staged? watch!
breitbart.tv — "I was at the event and know this was fraud. The guy was talking to Clinton staffers prior to the event and was given front row seats. Hillary clearly trying to rally women voters in NH by playing the sexist card. The Clinton machine rolls on…." ..from the comment page.

I bet he was a plant and she was going to swoop in and talk the guy out of there and everyone was supposed to be like WOW What a hero! But then someone went online and everyone was already saying it was a plant so they got spooked and bailed on it.

- ElAssoWipo, on 01/08/2008, -8/+115When's the last time you saw or heard of an actual sexist man who would think that showing up with "Iron my shirt" at woman's campaign event would be "cool" or somehow prove a point, without making a joke?
And front row... This made me think of a group of "feminists" where I live. They keep making up sexism to justifty their own existence. Now they are attacking women who are not women enough, Ie. women who choose to stay at home, women who choose to become strippers, fashion trends being too sexy, etc. It's nonsense.
Nobody would think this guy is being serious in any other context.
Plus she cried on tv. If a man would oppose to having a woman as president, the first thing he would say is that she'd break down when faced with strong adversity. She cried because of a question.- Hermiod, on 01/08/2008, -2/+39Exactly, she's losing because Democrats agree with Obama more than they agree with her, not because she's a woman. I'm not an American, I'm just an observer, but if I was American I'd vote for Obama because I agree with him. I wouldn't vote for Senator Clinton because I don't agree with her - specifically due to her anti-video gaming policies. She's losing so she plays the "you're not voting for me because you're sexist" card. No, Senator, they're not voting for you because you're not the best person for the job. You're not even a good second choice.
I'm British, I've already had a woman Prime Minister in my lifetime and I've voted for two different Asian women to be my local MP in General Elections, her gender is no big deal to me.- NoStoppingUs, on 01/08/2008, -4/+2"gaming" is your biggest priority? this is digg, so i'm not shocked, and i'm sure thats why you've been dugg up so high, but are you kidding me? this is why this world is going to the *****.
- SPARTACVS, on 01/09/2008, -1/+4gtfo n00b
- Hermiod, on 01/09/2008, -1/+2No, it's not, it's just indicative of a bigger problem with her policies - they're illiberal. The party I vote for in the UK is not ashamed to call itself "liberal", the Senator, on the other hand, is. Video games are an art form that she wants to censor. Once a government starts censoring art it becomes illiberal and I won't vote for that.
The games industry is also a huge business that, unlike many others, American (and European) companies still do extremely well out of, that the Senator would damage for no credible reason.

- somespecial, on 01/08/2008, -23/+19Those 'huge signs' were made out of paper, and clearly looked folded up prior to the event. No, it was not staged, and yes, idiots do still exist.

- almonds646, on 09/11/2008, -1/+6why would she ask for the lights to be turned on? because she wanted everybody to see the sign, which she was aware of, because it was STAGED beforehand!
- ninsei, on 01/08/2008, -2/+11Don't know why somespecial's getting dugg down? The sign was made out of paper and it was folded into 8. May have still been staged but it explains the questions from bigjim's post.

They were written on the back of "Hillary's the Man for Me!" signs. - theOster, on 01/08/2008, -1/+7agreed. remember her retort at obama's "hillary, i would hope you would be advising me as well" comment? you shouldn't. because there wasn't any. this was staged.
- richbleak, on 01/08/2008, -5/+11Folks, I despise Hillary as much as the next guy, but this was not staged by her campaign. As mentioned elsewhere in this thread, that was Adolpho Gonzalez from the Toucher and Rich show on WBCN in Boston. Look up the show and try to get a sound clip of this guy, it is obviously him. With that said, anything that helps Hillary be defeated in NH is fine by me. In fact, ignore all that i said and lets get out the vote against this dirty tricks politician!
- pegisys, on 01/08/2008, -5/+4How do you know she didn't ask them to do it
- richbleak, on 01/08/2008, -2/+14You are right. I hadn't thought of that. How shortsighted of me. She probably planted them into jobs on a popular Boston radio station and ordered them to do extremely stupid bits for years just so no one would think anything of it when this day came. She truly is the master manipulator.
Speaking of scenarios that are just as plausible as yours: How do you know that they didn't ask her to run for president just so they could do this bit? In fact, they could have arranged for Bill Clinton to become the governor of Arkansas, just so they could one day make him President. This would allow them to make a name for Hillary so that she could one day become a Senator and be within striking distance of the presidency. All so they could send an underling to yell sexist jokes at her rally. Genius!
*If your comment was a sarcastic joke meant to point out the ridiculous nature of people who think along those lines, I apologize for bringing the sarcasm hammer down so hard and I bow to your play. Otherwise, you got what you deserved.* - evilgoatbob, on 01/08/2008, -3/+1Occam's razor.

- hickengineering, on 01/09/2008, -1/+0It was actually staged as a goof from a local radio station shock jocks.
- boneill428, on 01/08/2008, -5/+19I would take you up on the bet. It's easy money for me since I know who did it. It was from a radio station in Boston. Listen to Toucher & Rich on WBCN 104.1 in Boston or at www.wbcn.com 3-7pm today and I'm sure you will find out all about it.
- Otto, on 01/08/2008, -5/+4Proving nothing other than the radio jockeys were in on it, perhaps even unknowingly. You don't think like a political campaign flack.
Scenario: Somebody on the Clinton campaign calls the radio station and says something to that effect, planting the idea. Doesn't have to identify themselves as part of the campaign. Perhaps even calls a couple of different local shock jocks. They decide it'd be a good stunt and run with it. Result is as you see it here.
You think it's a long shot? I almost guarantee you that that was how it went down. Ask those radio DJs who did it if they know where they got the idea from. It was probably not from them, although they may remember it as being their own.- alkajazz, on 01/08/2008, -4/+6There was three shooters too right?
- Rich711, on 01/08/2008, -6/+3Oh, come on! There's no need to bring up Vince Foster's "suicide". That's just low. There is only moderate evidence that points his death at the Clintons.

I miss listening to them (and Opie & Anthony) on my commute to/from work, but then, having a 3-minute commute now I can't complain too much.
Also, obligatory "Blye, you're a *****. Sincerely, The Music Abuser". Anyone that is unfortunate enough to have to listen to him when he's occasionally on the air has my deepest sympathy. Worst. GM. - jacobmiller, on 01/08/2008, -2/+2Of course it isn't. Do you really think that the Wall Street Republicans want Huckabee to win? Do you really think the Democrats would have won in 2006 if it had not been for the major screw ups the GOP pulled? (see: http://slate.com/features/2007/scandal_guide/scand ... ... )
Within the mainstream of politics there are some real battles occurring. Do you think that the Hillary campaign going down the drain is due to some master plan forged by the Democratic establishment is "staged"? Get real.
However, it is definitely true that any candidates outside the mainstream are ignored, then laughed at, then ridiculed, and then smeared. Look at Mahatma Gandhi, hardly a "mainstream candidate". What did he say again? Quote: "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." (Source: http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Mahatma_Gandhi)

- proseandpromise, on 01/08/2008, -7/+88If it wasn't staged, it still wasn't real sexism. A fratboy prank maybe. A stage-prop probably. A rally cry for feminism? Not so much. But still the woman in the crowd cheer wildly.... Women that vote for Hillary just because she's a woman should be ashamed of themselves.
- abran1984, on 01/08/2008, -4/+5How about blacks that vote for Obama because he's black?
- Nidy1, on 01/08/2008, -2/+14Should be ashamed also. Did you expect otherwise?
- proseandpromise, on 01/08/2008, -1/+7That sounds an awful lot like "but...but...they do it too!" When I see Obama in front of a crowd of black supporters say something like Hillary said, then I'll complain about that too. In the mean time, her calling that dumb stunt "the remnants of sexism" just trivializes REAL sexism. I wonder how the woman still making less than her male counter part feels when she hears that sexism is a dumb sign at a dumb press event.
- kalleanka, on 01/08/2008, -0/+2What about all the white people who don't vote for him just because he is black.
Believe it or not, even at this day there exist such morons in our society.

- Fordi, on 01/08/2008, -0/+13I certainly don't. Unless they've been in the military, most women have no ***** clue how to properly press a men's buttonfront.
- HayString, on 01/08/2008, -1/+3And that right there is the problem with women nowadays.

- MicheleFloyd, on 01/08/2008, -6/+3I am a woman who is mad for politics. That's the third time I have seen that photo (without reading the article) and I just now got the meaning. - ShuttleDisaster, on 01/08/2008, -12/+7this was NOT staged. This guy is from a popular political news website, and blogged about it after he was removed from the event. He also put up a video on youtube talking about what happened to him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBGIQ7ZuuiU

You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching but you're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
And you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see
(Ooh give you up)
(Ooh give you up)
(Ooh) Never gonna give, never gonna give (give you up)
(Ooh) Never gonna give, never gonna give (give you up)
We've known each other for so long
You're heart's been aching but you're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand

- jerryberube, on 01/08/2008, -11/+3In my opinion, the Clintons are a pair of antichrists who are out to gain power in any manner, honest or dishonest, that they can. They're pathological liars, cheats, thieves, an adulterer, self grandiose manipulators, self serving, untrustworthy, and skunks of the first order. If you like garbage and swill, then serve up the Clintons for eight more years. You'll get exactly the kind of smut and snake oil peddlers that you deserve. Hardly presidential material..
- Fordi, on 01/08/2008, -1/+1You know, you don't have to refer to anyone with less than noble motives as an antichrist. Call a spade a spade, would you? The Clintons are power-mongers, pure and simple.

- Nazrie1, on 01/08/2008, -1/+9You guys probably won't believe me, but I'm the bumbling idiot that accidentally turned out the lights right before this happened. I got up from my chair for a few to take some video and when I got back my seat was taken so I leaned against the back wall and knocked out the house lights! It looks like it may have thrown her off cause the house lights were supposed to be up! I thwarted Hillary!
- HenvY, on 01/08/2008, -1/+5you're right, i don't believe you. Can you prove it?
- alphasixtyone, on 01/08/2008, -15/+10i really dislike hillary as much as all you guys here, but can we cool it down with the sexist comments? I mean both this guy with the sign and most of the posts here so far by diggers
- HenvY, on 01/08/2008, -6/+9What, is your girlfriend watching you type and you want to get some love tonight or something? Sorry - digg...my mistake, of course you don't have a girlfriend. Can we cool it with the whiny bitching?
- gavin422, on 01/08/2008, -9/+4Does anyone have any evidence that this was staged other than "my gut feeling"? Come on. Buried as inaccurate.
- Groovemaster, on 01/08/2008, -5/+1So you believe what you're told unless provided with incontrovertible proof to the opposite effect.
The fact that this event benefits Clinton far more than it benefits the "pranksters" is enough reason to consider that it's probably a campaign stunt.
Buried as gullible.- gavin422, on 01/08/2008, -1/+21. No, I look at evidence and decide for myself. There is no evidence in your favor. All I see is a video with no accompanying analysis, and a bunch of people screaming "SETUP!" No evidence, sorry.
2. Things like this backfire all the time. Do you think John Wilkes Booth meant to turn Lincoln into a hero and a martyr? It must have been a setup!

- colberrep, on 01/08/2008, -2/+3Yeah digg has gotten really lame. They are just as fantasy-based as bush. Scientific polls are wrong but internet polls are real. And now this bs theory is dugg by lemmings who have heard that the clintons are bad. TRAVELGATE!!!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!!!
- nonsequitor, on 01/08/2008, -2/+3The fact the Clinton camp played along with the prank is pretty damning. Just because a radio station shock jock thought it up, does not change that the Clinton staffers gave them front row seats.
- Fordi, on 01/08/2008, -0/+2The court of public opinion is pretty much built on gut feelings.
Most people, just looking at her speak for a minute or two, are creeped out by how disingenuous she seems.

- punisher18, on 01/08/2008, -11/+2....uh hey whats this about hillary being a woman ? we all see that adams apple and we all know its Bill who really irons the shirts.
another plant by her campaign , shes going to make it so much harder for women to become a president if she continues this whole manipulation *****. like that FAKE sad moment she had saying i just dont want America to fall backwards ..*sob* smile..audience aww *evil grin* completely different emotion after the audience bites. beside that being manipulation who the hell wants some sobbing woman in the white house ? will it mean we'll have to deal with her hot flashes too? i mean ***** just because a WOMAN is finally running for President dosent mean we should all jump on a bandwagon to get a woman in there...if a woman runs for president she should be elected for every reason BUT her being a woman. someone running for president hiding behind the sex card agenda is pathetic and shows shes running on nothing but the idea a woman could be president . do we really want another clinton in the white house ? ***** these names weve been hearing forever "Bush,Clinton" lets get a new face in there and start fresh and forget this *****!
lets pull a Post War WWII Germany and forget these people, the problems they brought us,the bad history, the bleak unpromising future, never existed . Fix our dollar , fix our foreign affairs ,bring our fathers mothers daughters and sons back home safely without causing a genocide overseas when we leave , lets build an America we can be actually proud of once God Dammit!!!
shes as bad as fox with their so called "focus groups" ***** ***** stop suffocating Americans with your damn tripe!! - AlexPod, on 01/08/2008, -2/+19Hilary keeps getting lost on her way to the kitchen and ends up at podiums giving speeches. What gives?
