I oppose the death penalty on the grounds that killing a person and later finding out the state made a mistake is something that is hard to undo. However, where evidence is overwhelming, witnesses who are reliable. "Hey he just walked up to the bank teller put the gun to her head and pulled the trigger. Then told the manager again to open the vault.." type reliable then all means give him the red hot poison filled needle or better yet hang him in the town square and leave his body hangin' a couple of days tell the maggots start making a condo out of his carcass, for all his would be followers to see.- KJeffV, on 07/25/2008, -1/+4Amen! - LoneRanger85, on 07/26/2008, -0/+5We can't dismantle our entire justice system just because someone who is innocent MIGHT be executed any more than we can dismantle our highway system because someone who is innocent MIGHT be killed in a car crash. Killers don't stop killing until they are killed. While imprisoned, they are a danger to everyone around them including guards and other prisoners.
