Huckabee: Supportive Bloggers Are ‘Doing The Lord's Work'

thinkprogress.org — Calling them his “secret weapon,” former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee urged bloggers to “clog” up the wireless system in Des Moines so that reporters couldn’t file any more “bad” stories about him. He added that by blocking the free press from doing their jobs, bloggers were “doing the Lord’s work."

            Dad interfered with the investigation, by firing one of the law enforcement officials in charge of the case, so not only is he the father of sadistic psychopaths, he covers up for them. His son had nothing to do with the cover up.

  • vilo, on 01/03/2008, -0/+19As a devout Christian, I can say that the "Lord's Work" should be kept to the church, and the "government's work" should be to protect people's life and freedoms to do whatever the heck they want as long as it doesn't interfere with another's freedoms. Forcing belief systems on people is not an elected officials job, nor the government's job. Jesus Christ said this Himself: "Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's." -Mark 12:17. As a Christian, Ron Paul understands this clearer than any mock-Christian politician... George W. Bush and Mike Huckabee included.

      Government should only be for the protection of Life, Liberty, and Property. Anything they do outside of this they are sure to mess up; They can't even do the one core function defined in the Constitution: Protection of Borders!

I won't be voting for Huckabee (I am a Ron Paul guy), but I think Huckabee is a hilarious guy, who has good jokes (in addition to being a solid individual). Unfortunately, the majority of Digg takes his statements seriously, and nothing he says is taken as a joke. Well, at least give Huckabee some credit: he's funnier than all the late night comedians I am familiar with.
