- marabout40, on 05/14/2008, -2/+38This says a lot about the character of the people supporting Hillary Clinton. It confirms for me that, although I'd love to see a woman become POTUS, she is not that woman. She breeds hatred and division.
- ncairns, on 05/15/2008, -0/+5This one is my favorite:
"By Gloria Cordov, Ph.D. [look out, she's got a PhD!] on May 14, 2008 9:35 PM
I am gasping with disbelief that this pro-Choice organization, to which I've belonged before, has endorse [sic] Obama BEFORE the states have all had their vote. This seems totally unnecessary to have done so [sic]. It is disrespectful of [sic] Senator Clinton, who has long, long been a pro-Choice candidate, long before Obama came on to the scene. I will withhold my membership to this organization in the future. Did your members know what you were doing before you did it? I am doubtful because I know that millions of Senator Clinton's supporters would have not endorsed this action of NARAL. Sad and sorry!"
As someone who calls himself a feminist, this crap *reeks* of entitlement.

- mabs0, on 05/14/2008, -2/+32Apparently Hillary supporters think that people have a right to their opinion only if they agree with them. Very interesting... Where else have I seen this kind of attitude? Hmmm...
- pedo, on 05/14/2008, -4/+2not really. NARAL has a right to endorse obama and hillary's supporters have a right to bitch about it and suspend their donations.
having said that, if NARAL had endorsed hillary, i would have thought they were stupid, but i wouldnt have a fit about it. - provost, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1any topic on digg where the loudmouths drown everyone else is where you see it.
see for example conversations on: ron paul, scientology, atheism, 9/11 truthers, comcast limiting bandwidth and of course paying taxes to support the commons of the US. - BananaGrabber, on 05/15/2008, -1/+3Holy *****! The irony in your post is astounding.

- Ridgeliner7, on 05/14/2008, -3/+28A SAMPLING FROM THEIR HUFFINGTON POST HATE:
"I saw the trash many supporters of Clinton put on NARAL's website. They are all about Clinton has done more, and menacing to stop funding NARAL.They must live on another planet. Little do they realize that not all things revolve around their candidate."
"My favorite comment from the NARAL website...
"By not supporting Senator Clinton you might as well be endorsing Senator McCain."
-By Disappointed & Discouraged! on May 14, 2008 2:52 PM"
"NARAL has lost my financial support for their hasty endorsement; supporting a man over a women candidate, especially a woman who has done much as Senator Clinton has done to help protect reproductive rights, is just folly. But, then again, NARAL has a history of supporting men who have been less than forthright and protective of women's rights. I prefer to protect my own rights; I really don't need a man to stand up for me; I'm not that timid or weak. This was just sad and disappointing and above all else, ill-timed."
"I was amazed by the blogs by the Clinton supporters at the NARAL website. If you want to get a taste of pure vitriol, bitterness, entitlement, and revenge run amok, go check it out.
http://www.blogforchoice.com/archives/2008/05/nara ...
The rabid hate of the Clinton supporters may have a LOT to do with why she is losing this race, not that the Clintonistas care, or are even aware of, how seriously they offend reasonable folks. When do these people finally recognize and accept that their candidate has lost, fair and square."- bluevillage, on 05/14/2008, -0/+12Thanks for posting the link. I just went to their site, contributed to NARAL and added my Bravo! to them in the comments. They really need an outpouring of support.
- Ridgeliner7, on 05/14/2008, -0/+5I did the same! This blind hate in politics has to end somewhere, sometime. Let it begin with us.
- SpickSlayer, on 05/15/2008, -4/+1NARAL? More like NAMBLA.

- zzjagp, on 05/14/2008, -1/+16The venom is horrific. I am so sorry for them because they want hillary - but this is a good example of the kinds of problems she creates throughout the country. Thank you NARAL for your wisdom in standing beside Barack Obama.
- glibpaxman, on 05/14/2008, -1/+12it really would be awesome to see a woman as president. we have had old men in there for way too long. of course, it would also be totally awesome for me to president, but i doubt that would be good for the american people. sadly, we (the voters) have decided that hillary will be the woman to break that barrier.
At this point I see two reasons for HRC to stay in the race, one is honorable and the other is not:
1) she needs to spend a month uniting the party after spending 5 dviding it thereby ensuring a democrat will be in the oval office come january.
2) she needs to stay in the race to stroke her own ego, thereby ensuring that every woman to seek the presidency for the next 50 years is labeled "bitch".
Personally i think its the first, but hillary has proved me wrong many times before. especially when character or honor are involved..- aussiejan, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2I have been worried about #2 as well. Hillary was definitely the wrong woman to be the first to run for president. I fear that subsequent women that run will start with the Hillary anchor around their neck. I hope someday that there will be a woman in the White House but the Hillary campaign may have put paid to that for decades.
- RichardGozinya, on 05/14/2008, -3/+7I don't see why NARAL bothered to endorse at this point. Too late to mean anything, and they had to know they'd catch holy hell for it. There aren't many contests left, and everybody who bothers to look at the numbers already knows who the winner's going to be, so just let it play out, and hopefully the candidates can set a good example for their supporters to follow. Nobody gains anything with this endorsement, except maybe for NARAL getting some (very negative) attention.
- SheilaNoya, on 05/15/2008, -0/+4NARAL fights for women's rights and needs a President in place who will champion their cause AND get things accomplished. Obama can get bi-partisan results, whereas Hillary's stubborn style is just to try and ramrod things through, which is usually met by roadblocks and resistance. She claims to be a "fighter", but sometimes you need to be more of a "negotiator". Beating people over the head, while insisting you get your way, is the Bush style. We need to move beyond that non-productive mentality.
- enronias, on 05/14/2008, -2/+27How exactly has Clinton been "one of the most influential women's rights activists" in recent history other than just being a well known political figure with a vagina?
- orangedude, on 05/15/2008, -1/+2Who became a well known political figure by using said vagina to get married to Bill.
- Ridgeliner7, on 05/14/2008, -2/+10The Clinton's have only one plan: Ruin the election for Obama so she can run again in 2012. If anyone doesn't see that by now, they need to take off their rose colored glasses!
- dmcbride6, on 05/15/2008, -1/+1This will backfire entirely if Obama gets elected. All one has to do is do better than Bush for it to be deemed a successful presidency...that isn't saying much!
- spurtle, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2Screw the country over for another term so that she can take office four years later? ***** that.
- dave122, on 05/15/2008, -0/+0nothing like making a point with zero substance...
- timbro1, on 05/15/2008, -6/+4can't a girl get a break?
- Hillsfar, on 05/15/2008, -1/+1One who runs a clean campaign, yeah. Not one who runs dirty and gets the most donations from lobbyists - more than McCain, even.
- dBass, on 05/15/2008, -3/+6Show of hands, anyone surprised?
- MakiMaki, on 05/15/2008, -1/+8It's sad that some of the women are even cutting ties with NARAL, a cause they believe in, because of this endorsement. Supporting NARAL and accepting Obama are not mutually exclusive. It's not as if NARAL is going to radically change after this endorsement.
- mabs0, on 05/15/2008, -1/+2It's all about Hillary. Ideas, plans, goals, all that out the window they go if Hillary is not the person in charge. These Hillary supporters give a new meaning to the phrase 'personality cult.'
- CreatureLady, on 05/15/2008, -1/+3We're seeing bitterness again, but in a different corner this time. Many Americans have allowed their/our political perspectives to be skewed down to one issue. The sad irony for some of the Clinton supporters who are so angry is that Senator Obama has a substantial pro-choice record fully in line with the NARAL objectives AND he shows an active leadership in helping to reduce other factors that affect the occurrence of unwanted pregnancies.
- SheilaNoya, on 05/15/2008, -1/+2I agree. As I already stated in a previous post, Obama is a better candidate for actually achieving NARAL's objectives. He is fully aligned with Hillary on women's issues, but he has a far better chance of actually getting things done in a bi-partisan way. Hillary's stubborn style of beating people into submission and trying to ramrod things through is usually just met with roadblocks and resistance. Both candidates are good for women's rights, but I think Obama can accomplish things that Hillary can't, just because of the difference in their style and approach.
Hillary's claim of being a "fighter" just leads me to believe she will only end up in a fight - with no real results.- snafflepaffle, on 05/15/2008, -1/+1'Hillary's claim of being a "fighter" just leads me to believe she will only end up in a fight - with no real results.'
That's my fear too. It doesn't seem like more fighting is what we need.

- marabout40, on 05/15/2008, -0/+2Nancy Keenan and Elizabeth Shipp of NARAL will be hosting a live Webchat on Friday, May 16 @ 3:00 p.m. ET to address any questions or concerns related to their endorsement of Sen. Obama. You can submit your questions here: http://chat.prochoiceamerica.org/content/interview ...
- abby11, on 05/15/2008, -1/+2JUST IGNORE THE HATE!PEOPLE THAT HATE ARE JUST JEALOUS!
- sbader, on 05/15/2008, -3/+1They probably did it so that all the hate from one side would get them some of that Obama money.
- bhod, on 05/15/2008, -7/+2hillary and her supporters are lesbo/gay loving scum that love to hate.
obama/edwards 08!- B1663r, on 05/15/2008, -2/+1please read my post in this digg. What do you think of that?
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Hillary_s_Base - Krisgi, on 05/15/2008, -1/+4I am shocked that, as a fellow Democrat and Obama supporter, you should really think such cruel things about homosexuals. Let alone state them publically. I find this very offensive, and would ask you to apologize or at least abstain from making these types of comments in the future. Thank you.
- B1663r, on 05/15/2008, -2/+1please read my post in this digg. What do you think of that?
- JimmySpaza, on 05/15/2008, -11/+3Other than the fact that NARAL supports murder and infanticide, this is actually entertaining. The best part is seeing Obama and Clinton fight desparately for every liberal group out there.
- Krisgi, on 05/15/2008, -1/+5Murder? What have Bush and Cheney been doing for the last 8 years? Murdering people in Iraq and elsewhere and sending our soldiers to be murdered... What did Bush do as Governor of Texas? Murder people by his merciless use of the Death Penalty. Thou shall not kill... Remember? If you defend unborn human beings so ardently, you should defend the ones who have already been born as well. According to the religious people in this country, only GOD can take away a life. Are you God, or are you just god-awful?
- JimmySpaza, on 05/16/2008, -1/+1Bush Derangement Syndrome is alive and well in so many people that they simply cannot stay on topic and deal with the matter at hand...in this case, NARAL support.
Ever notice how liberals just cannot help themselves but to immediately whine about Bush regardless of the topic at hand? - Krisgi, on 05/16/2008, -1/+1Seeing as Bush is the origen of all of our current woes, I am not exactly going to blame my mother, God, or some other third party.
People who are anti-abortion generally support the GOP. There“s a direct relationship between their defending the "murdering of innocents" on one hand, and condoning it on the other. Hypocrites, all of them.

- coffee200am, on 05/15/2008, -5/+3While Obama supporters throw the same ***** back.
In a mirror, darkly.
- Surferess, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1That kind of objective talk will get you buried around here. I don't think Obama supporters are ready for this yet.
- jkerrigan, on 05/15/2008, -3/+0Odd timing for an endorsement from a group like that--I could see a union endorsement, a fellow politician's endorsement; anything that would end this race for good. But for a group with such... female... ties to support him, knowing the likely reaction of its members, seems strange. I don't begrudge their support (despite their political views), yet I am intrigued by the timing.
Perhaps they were waiting until they knew the winner, so they could get on his good side. - internetcoward, on 05/15/2008, -2/+3I used to think hillary supporters were very similar to obama supporters, then when I met some, and how they just don't listen to anybody unless it's about hillary and how hateful they can be (the group I met here in NC) I completely got why she is still in the race. Her supporters are basically recovering bush supporters here in NC. They felt duped, now theyre trying to seem in touch and active again by supporting her.

- Azulita360, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2Hillary is not pro woman. I don't know why people think that. Have you read about how she tryed to coax a 12 year old rape victim to admit she was "asking for it?"
Did you know Bill Clinton has raped women? What is wrong with the Clinton supporters? Are the blind, deaf, and stupid?
