- KLBP, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1The media and bloggers need to get smarter about the nationwide popular vote and how IA, NV, ME and WA do not report official popular vote totals. Hillary has been getting a free ride with her "winning the popular vote" lies and the truth needs to come out in a big way before more harm is done to the Democratic chances this fall. Because of Hillary constantly lying about the popular vote, a lot of hard core women voters will believe that Obama stole the nomination from Hillary via back room deals even though Obama has won the nomination fair and square.
It is Obama not Clinton who won the popular vote, along with the most states and the most pledged delegates and he did this long before he won the majority of super delegates. If there were back room attempts to choose the nominee, it was in Clinton's favor as she started the race with a massive superdelegate lead and Obama was only able to chip away at that lead by winning the most votes and pledged delegates time and time again in state after state.
