Hillary Clinton’s suicidal gamble with race poison
timesonline.co.uk — The Clintons are used to loving and supporting minorities – as long as the minorities know their place and see the Clintons as the instrument of their salvation. Obama rejects that dependency. And thus the Clintons strive to destroy him. But in that venture they are destroying themselves and their legacy.

- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -85/+12LOL, "...Obomber rejects that dependency.." he and all Democrats believe the minorities aren't smart enough, hard working enough or good enough to make it with out Uncle Sam helping them, main difference between the Dem.s and the Republicans who believe they are good enough to make it on their own.
- smacksaw, on 05/11/2008, -7/+53Did you ever think that after reading an article that discusses Obama gaining support from being maligned, making the first post say "Obomber" not only proves your inability to understand even the simplest of points, but actually helps Obama?
I don't want to Digg you down because your post is a spectacle that needs to be seen to remind people with critical thinking skills what sort of scourge this country is facing.
Did it ever occur to you that "people making it on their own" probably could do it without having to already deal with people like you as an obstacle? Don't like the welfare state? Quit being an ass to minorities and the poor.- TellTheWorld, on 05/11/2008, -1/+9Very well said, smacksaw.
- Bkaufman, on 05/11/2008, -31/+7Disregarding the retarded "Obomber" part, your comment is 100% accurate. Democrats depend on the poor for their votes. It is in their party's interest to keep poor people poor, and to make sure (in the words of the great Chris Farley) that they are getting "a steady diet of government cheese". This gives them further incentive to vote for democrats.
- xBarium, on 05/11/2008, -4/+11Republicans consistently take advantage of the poor and undereducated especially those in Southern states by appealing to their Christian morales and promising tax cuts and other programs which serve only to drive the poor down. The democrats consistently bring in the minority vote, an unfairly large portion of which lives below the poverty line but it's not because of the democrats support of welfare programs. You comments are unfounded and malicious, no one wants to see people kept poor, that's just ***** stupid.
- Bkaufman, on 05/11/2008, -3/+1I will agree that there is a certain subset of Republicans who use this tactic, but the democratic party is far worse at pandering to poor people and making promises that are impossible to keep without raising taxes or going into more debt to China.
- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -9/+3The Obomber comes from the fact that BHO attended the same madrasa and mosque as the Mad Bomber of London, who planned the subway bombings.
- funkyloki, on 05/11/2008, -2/+7Prove it, jackass, or STFU!
- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -4/+2http://www.danielpipes.org/article/5354
I will accept your apology any time.
- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -4/+2http://www.danielpipes.org/article/5354
- Vet4Peace, on 05/11/2008, -2/+4Either you really mean that, and are retarded. Or you don't mean it, and are an asshole.
Which is it?- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -4/+2http://www.danielpipes.org/article/5354 he was a practicing muslim at one point in his life, not very regular but there is no doubting it, it seems the tables have turned and now you must answer your own question. Which are you?
- funkyloki, on 05/11/2008, -1/+6The article you linked as evidence that Obama "attended the same madrasa and mosque as the Mad Bomber of London" does not prove that. the only thing it proves is that Obama attended a mosque when he was 6 to 8 years old, and that he did his irregularly and with his step-father. When I was 8, I attended a church with a friend of mine occasionally. does that make me a Catholic? No, and the only reason I went was because I wanted to hang with my friend. Obama was eight, too young to stay by himself, maybe he had to go (see how I implied something there, just like Daniel Pipes does in all of his articles).
So I will not apologize, because you haven't proven your statement yet.- Stevanoski, on 05/12/2008, -8/+1But he was a muslim at one time. We need to know that because Islam has dire consequences for those who are apostate. I know, they are your heroes but you need to examine this issue at the very least since Jungle Fever has so enveloped you.
- funkyloki, on 05/12/2008, -1/+0You really are a jackass. You didn't say anything about him being a Muslim at one time. Your exact statement: "The Obomber comes from the fact that BHO attended the same madrasa and mosque as the Mad Bomber of London, who planned the subway bombings." You still haven't proven that. I never questioned whether Obama attended a mosque when he was a CHILD, but where did you pull out this ***** about the Mad Bomber, which you STILL HAVEN'T PROVEN. You can be a racist with your Jungle Fever comment all you want, it still doesn't change the fact that you, sir, are an idiot, because this is not about supporting Obama; this is about you making false statements, and then not backing them up.
- Stevanoski, on 05/12/2008, -1/+1A little wine with your valium may help your hissy fit you are experiencing.
- funkyloki, on 05/14/2008, -0/+0That's your response? You still haven't proven your original statement, and instead of backing it up, you try insults to solidify your point. Way to go. Why don't you try proving what you originally posted. People like you who just throw something out there to see if it sticks, whether it is true or not, do a great disservice to logical and rational discourse. And BTW, by making comments such as Jungle Fever, you portray yourself here as you truly are, a racist.
Obama's not my hero, bro, and if you had proven your statement with some corroboration, I would have been willing to listen to your point. As it is, your just a racist who spouts hate speech wherever you can.
- funkyloki, on 05/11/2008, -2/+7Prove it, jackass, or STFU!

- dgn3, on 05/11/2008, -7/+3further proof of digg's liberal bias... :(
- BrainInAJar, on 05/11/2008, -1/+7digg's liberal bias... or reality's liberal bias?
- smacksaw, on 05/11/2008, -7/+53Did you ever think that after reading an article that discusses Obama gaining support from being maligned, making the first post say "Obomber" not only proves your inability to understand even the simplest of points, but actually helps Obama?
- marytnurse, on 05/11/2008, -21/+14ok, i wouldn't normally call anyone a bigot or a racist or any name but you may well have earned it. if you for any reason can in your brain find a space to recognize that all those people that tell you racist jokes aren't affecting how you interact with, and how they affect others' behavior toward anyone of color, regardless of their color...i'm sure it distresses you greatly to know that you are a direct descendant of an african tribe, originating in east central africa along with every last one of us.
i hope you NEVER break your leg, since once you have the cast off everyone will expect you to return to normal functioning, even if your foot still swells and you develop arthritis and there's an infection in the surgical scar and you need a skin graft and then get a post-op infection because someone didn't wash their hands adequately, or has some superbug growing on them...but maybe i shouldn't bother with you...poof! off to gitmo with you, you are unamerican!- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -9/+4Yeah maeve47, what marty said I agree with you racist.
- Sheeena, on 05/13/2008, -0/+0Hey punk ass steeeviestooopid, I would ask how they're hangin, but everybody here knows you ain't got none. hahahahahaha Eunuch. hahahaha
- Taliese, on 05/11/2008, -7/+2Excellent post, Mary! :-)
- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -16/+5I agree, at least the Republicans have apologized for any racism in the past. The Dems? No way. what abunch of racist good point mary.
- Taliese, on 05/11/2008, -3/+5Apologies become moot when actions contradict words. That goes for both Democrats and Republicans.
- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -13/+4But the Republicans treat minorities as equals whereas the Dem.s believe they aren't good enough, smart enough or hard working enough to stand on their own and must have Whiteys help to make it. So the Dem.s have not apologized and they treat the minorities as inferiors.
- Taliese, on 05/11/2008, -6/+14The Republican party treats minorities as equals? What freaking universe are you existing in? I'm a Republican and even I can see how disingenuous your comments are. Obviously any further discussion with you would be pointless since you can't even be honest about our own party's sins and faults.
Goodbye. - Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -14/+4You are a liar you are not a Republican excet in the Hugo Chavez context.
- Sheeena, on 05/11/2008, -4/+0Taliese, don't waste your time on Stevanstupid or whatever his name is. ROFLMAO
- petrodollar, on 05/11/2008, -3/+2Isn't Jeff Sessions still a republican?
- Sheeena, on 05/11/2008, -3/+1Stevanstupid, you're a moron. hahahahaha
- Taliese, on 05/11/2008, -3/+5Apologies become moot when actions contradict words. That goes for both Democrats and Republicans.

- nullcodes, on 05/11/2008, -2/+4"ok, i wouldn't normally call anyone a bigot or a racist or any name but you may well have earned it"
Umm, ok, how about the name of the person you are calling racist?
Who is that comment directed towards? maeve47? hillary? Who
If it's at maeve47, how is maeve47 racist? What brings you to that decision?- Stevanoski, on 05/12/2008, -1/+1She may not know how to use the reply button.
- MaxPayne3476, on 05/11/2008, -0/+13Great post! ... wait, who the ***** are you talking to?
- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -9/+4Yeah maeve47, what marty said I agree with you racist.
- Taliese, on 05/11/2008, -11/+111Well, THIS Republican is smart enough to know that Senator Clinton does NOT speak for the Democratic party, just like Stevanoski doesn't speak for all Republicans. If he/she/it did, then one might think that we're all a bunch of raging bigots. THIS Republican also plans to vote for Senator Barack Obama in the fall. Why? Because you and Hillary reminded me just what I hate about George Bush and the Republican Party's Rovian tactics.
Get ready. A change is coming.- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -34/+4urp
- Sheeena, on 05/11/2008, -7/+5Silly wabbit, Stevanstupid, don't you know Trix are for kids?
I hate Nazis.- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -7/+1You hate Nazis? So you hate the Democrats, who are the ones described in Animal Farm as the Pigs. They want to run everyones lives while Republicans just want to be left alone.
- FrenchAnarchy, on 05/11/2008, -1/+5@Stevanoski:
Have you even read Animal Farm? Animal Farm is written against totalianism and corruption and in favor of pure socialism. That's right, Socialism. The new word that all Republicans hate.- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -1/+1Ahhhhnnnnttt, thank you for playing, you are half right though. It showed how socialism always leads to totalitarianism.
- Sheeena, on 05/11/2008, -2/+0Nazi pig Stevanstupid. Don't you have some animals to go boink?
Silly wabbit, don't you know Trix are for Nazis Stevanstupid? You're a legend in your own little mind. You prolly have a tiny nu nu and a plastic girlfriend you bought off the internet. Or do you still live with your mommy? Inbred Stevanstupid. hahahaha - Sheeena, on 05/13/2008, -1/+1Nazi pig stevenstupid, f-ing coward. punk ass beeeoch.
- Sheeena, on 05/11/2008, -1/+0No Stevanstupid, I hate you. Nazi pig. You give republicans a bad name. silly wabbit, don't you know Trix are for Nazis? hahahahaha
- petrodollar, on 05/11/2008, -3/+14People who invest time and effort into communicating their apathy are typically masking feelings of despair and anxiety.
- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -9/+1They make medicine for that petro, let me know how it goes.
- Sheeena, on 05/11/2008, -7/+5Silly wabbit, Stevanstupid, don't you know Trix are for kids?
- skyisking, on 05/11/2008, -6/+0Yup get ready for that change. The only change we will experience is the change from quickly ***** up the country over two terms, to slowly ***** up the country under Obama's two terms.
- Sheeena, on 05/13/2008, -1/+1You're ***** up the country just by breathing in it. dumbass hahahahaha
- 140Suffolk, on 05/11/2008, -10/+4You expect us to believe that you're a Republican? But now you're gonna vote for Obama?
Right.- Taliese, on 05/11/2008, -0/+10I honestly don't care what you believe. But for those of you who are more open-minded, I've voted Republican all of my adult life, but not this time. I don't plan to change my Party affiliation, but I do plan to change my vote.
It has to do with me being sick and tired of being sick and tired of Washington politics as usual. There are many Republicans like me as well as Independents who have had it with divisive politics. And from the biting tone of your post, you fall into that category. Fearful. Small-minded. Polarizing I know your type. You probably think that anyone who doesn't believe that all Democrats are closet commies cannot be a "real" Republican. Well, guess what? I'm a REAL Republican who is sick of hate-mongers like you spoiling our democracy. It's people like you that contribute to Washington gridlock and the historic divisions that have kept all of us from coming together as one nation. No, my 'friend,' I don't give a damn what you think. But you should care what I and other Republicans like me think because we're not voting status quo this year. We're voting against the Clinton and the Bush dynasties. We're also voting against people like you who keep Democrats and Republicans in constant battle.
Trust me, you and your kind are an endangered species.- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -5/+1But no Democrats who have had it with divisive politics? Ah your sllip is showing you are a falsehood teller.
- Taliese, on 05/11/2008, -1/+6The person I was responding to questioned whether I was a Republican. I answered that I was and that there were many other Republicans like me. If he'd have asked if I knew of Democrats with a similar opinion I would've answered accordingly. That was the context of my answer. Obviously there are Democrats who've had it with divisive politics. You're straining at a gnat, yet you swallow a camel. Nitpicking at words and making inferences that aren't there.
Is this all you do? Troll around the Internet and sites like this to pick verbal fights with people? Is your life so miserable that this is it for you? Don't you have anything positive to say? I've seen your comments on this board and they are all, without exception, negative. What is wrong with you? Do you have no joy? Are you so bitter and angry that you cannot bring yourself to post anything but divisive garbage? What happened in your life to make you this way? Every post of yours has gotten negative hits. I'm sorry you're such an unhappy person. I really am. But you're taking your pain and rage out on the wrong people. Get some help, for godsakes, and join the rest of us reasonably adjusted human beings. Stop looking at everything through a negative lens. Try and find some commonality with others, rather than constantly initiating strife and dissension.- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -2/+1All I can see is you have only disparaged Republicans so I doubt your veracity. When a person has proven themselves to tell falsehoods you must "...strain the gnat...". Looks like to me you are projecting, every where I go, there you are trolling aways at my comments.
I thank you for your offer of help, but it is spelled "... for God sakes...", again you show your political leanings. Actually I don't blame you. You have been indoctrinated by the best...the public school system.
I have acquaintances here that I disagree with but respect as they are more logical in their disputations. I try to use shock methods to get those who only "feel" and do not think to jar them out of their complacency and trite MSM comments. - javip, on 05/11/2008, -3/+1the whole trying to get people to think thing is quite ironic coming from a republican, given that most of them are mindless bible bashers that most definitely don't think for themselves. maybe you should direct some of those "shock methods" at your fellow republicans :)
- Taliese, on 05/11/2008, -1/+3Oh, come on Javip, insulting my Party doesn't help. I'm not a mindless bible basher, and I definitely can think for myself. Fortunately, most of the Republicans responding here have been very thoughtful. And they haven't sought to score imaginary trolling points that only satisfy their own egos. Nobody really cares about that silliness. Most here are truly interested in a sincere exchange of ideas. But honestly, you painting all Republicans with a broad brush and insulting our ability to think adds nothing to the conversation but more strife.
- 140Suffolk, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2See? We're on to you, you faker. "Oh, I'm a Republican. A BIG Republican all my life. But now I like Obama's message of change!" Right.
So you were in the socialist wing of the Republican party? - Taliese, on 05/11/2008, -1/+3This is hilarious. So any Republican who is sick and tired of politics as usual can't possibly be a REAL Republican. Is that it? Tell me, oh wise one, what is the criteria of being a REAL Republican? Are there certain bench marks? One key issue that damns you into the "faker" category? So according to you, in order to be a REAL Republican I can never disagree with the direction my President has taken this country? I can never be jaded and disgusted with the man I voted into the White House? What is this? 1984? Are you the Republican Thought Police?
News flash: There are many others like me who are disenchanted and disillusioned with Bush and the way he's run this country. Yes, I want change, and it doesn't matter who the person's political affiliation is. I'm not a mindless drone tied to policies that are obviously not working. I gather you're of the 28 or 30 percentile who still believe our president is actually doing a good job. Heck, I voted for the man twice, but I'm not freaking blind. LOL The boat is sinking, okay? You can stay on it and try and tread water, or you can catch a life boat and live to fight another day. It's up to you.
- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -2/+1All I can see is you have only disparaged Republicans so I doubt your veracity. When a person has proven themselves to tell falsehoods you must "...strain the gnat...". Looks like to me you are projecting, every where I go, there you are trolling aways at my comments.
- Taliese, on 05/11/2008, -1/+3BTW, Stevanoski, I remember you from the other exchange here, and I fully expect that you'll respond with more negative, divisive drivel, so consider this my last post to you on this matter. Any further conversation would be pointless.
- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -2/+1Whew, thank you for not following around any more. Sometimes it takes tough love to make a person a better individual. Glad I could help.
- Sheeena, on 05/11/2008, -1/+1Nazi **ckless Stevanstupid. What's wrong? Your plastic girlfriend spring a leak? hahahaha Internet bullies like you always have plastic girlfriend because real girls don't like you. They think you smell like old cheese. You can always call mommy. Inbred Stevanstupid. hahahaha
- Ansible, on 05/11/2008, -1/+3Believe it. I know of at least two hardcore republicans that will be voting for Obama.
- Taliese, on 05/11/2008, -1/+3I'm more of a moderate Republican, while my husband is very hardcore. He never would've considered voting for a Democrat until this year. Not to say he will vote Obama. He's kinda on the fence now. He's at the point where he's torn between McCain and Obama. He likes Obama's message of change, and his view of an open government, but he also likes McCain's hawkish view on Iraq. He'll probably be undecided up until he goes into the voting booth. Me? Believe it or not, I was initially for Mike Huckabee. LOL I liked his calm, respectful manner. He didn't seek to tear his opponents down. I admired that. After he dropped out, I think Obama sort of grew on me over time. The other members of my family are mostly Dems, although my MIL is a strong Independent. She was leaning toward Hillary, but got disgusted with her gutter politics and race-baiting. So now she's warming up to Obama as well.
- 140Suffolk, on 05/11/2008, -0/+2Do they know Obama is in favor of slavery reparations, as long as the checks aren't made out to individual black people?
Do they know that Obama sponsored a bill to take an extra 3% of our GNP and give it to the UN to fight "world poverty"??
Are they from the socialist wing of the Republican party?
You have just GOT to be kidding. "Hardcore Republicans" voting for Obama. Yeah, that's the ticket.
- NSResponder, on 05/11/2008, -1/+4What republican would vote for McCain? Get serious.
-jcr- 140Suffolk, on 05/11/2008, -1/+3Better than Obama or Hilary.
- NSResponder, on 05/12/2008, -1/+1That's far from clear. Don't forget that McCain came awfully close to switching parties a couple of years back.
-jcr
- NSResponder, on 05/12/2008, -1/+1That's far from clear. Don't forget that McCain came awfully close to switching parties a couple of years back.
- 140Suffolk, on 05/12/2008, -1/+1McCain switching parties? He denies it, I think. Regardless, I think he'd be better in that he's not going to drag us into Canadian-style healthcare. And McCain understands that not all conflicts can be solved with sincere handshakes and understanding.
If you are saying that you are suspicious that McCain will be too much the Democrat, of course I agree. But the other choices are worse.
- 140Suffolk, on 05/11/2008, -1/+3Better than Obama or Hilary.
- Taliese, on 05/11/2008, -0/+10I honestly don't care what you believe. But for those of you who are more open-minded, I've voted Republican all of my adult life, but not this time. I don't plan to change my Party affiliation, but I do plan to change my vote.
- tcbishop12, on 05/11/2008, -1/+6This Republican agrees also. I am voting for, have donated money to, and am actively campaigning for, Sen. Obama over Sen. McCain. Whether the other commenter or anyone else believes I am a Republican is, of course, irrelevant to the facts, because it does not change the fact that I am a lifelong registered Republican who will vote for Obama. In matters of conscience and personal decision, the law of majority opinion or belief has no place.
- dinot, on 05/11/2008, -1/+7I don't care which party you people belong to, but it gives me comfort to know that a large number of people in this country are open minded like tcbishop12 and Taliese. There is hope yet.
- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -5/+4So open minded their brains may have spilled out eh?
- dinot, on 05/11/2008, -1/+4Wow. You're really witty. Where can I sign up for your newsletter?
- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -3/+1Yes.
- 140Suffolk, on 05/11/2008, -2/+2Oh another faker. Does Barack give you chills too?
- Stevanoski, on 05/11/2008, -5/+4So open minded their brains may have spilled out eh?
- dinot, on 05/11/2008, -1/+7I don't care which party you people belong to, but it gives me comfort to know that a large number of people in this country are open minded like tcbishop12 and Taliese. There is hope yet.
- cohortq, on 05/11/2008, -2/+4I too am I Republican. I voted for Ron Paul during the California primaries, and now, dare I say it? I'm backing Obama. I didn't jump on the bandwagon, I simply used the political matcher (http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Too_lazy_to_rese ... and then after it said Obama, I researched the guy, and decided to back him.
- Taliese, on 05/12/2008, -1/+7Careful, cohortq. Say you're backing Obama around these parts and the Republican Thought Police (AKA The so-called REAL Republicans) will accuse you of either (1) High Treason or (2)"Fakery." LOL Anyway, welcome to the fold. I'm a Republican Obama supporter too. :-)
- Stevanoski, on 05/12/2008, -4/+1If you want to blame the USA for terrorism your party of choice? Democrats
If you believe the most evil country ever to exist in the history of the world, then the Dem.s are for you.
If you believe USA created AIDS to destroy the Blacks, then your a Democrat.
Shall I go on Ms. Talise? If that is what you believe then you are correct to back Obama.- Taliese, on 05/12/2008, -1/+4Who believes this, Stevanoski? Are you saying Obama does? If so, show me where he said this.
- Stevanoski, on 05/12/2008, -3/+1His mentor and preacher of 20 years.
- Sheeena, on 05/12/2008, -1/+3Okay, so you DON'T have any proof Obama said this? Thanks for the clarification. :-)
- Taliese, on 05/12/2008, -1/+2No, he doesn't. He's just talking about a lot of nothing. I've been trying to have a meaningful discussion with this guy, and it's not happening.
- Taliese, on 05/12/2008, -1/+4Who believes this, Stevanoski? Are you saying Obama does? If so, show me where he said this.
- 140Suffolk, on 05/12/2008, -0/+3You're right. I DO say he's a faker. But I never said "High Treason". That's putting words in my mouth, and that's not sanitary.
Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if all three of you were the same person. Sitting at the computer logging in and out of the different usernames. It's called "sock puppets". Agreeing with each other. "Oh yes, I'm a lifelong Republican too but I want -CHANGE- so I'll vote for Obama..."
"Me too!" "And me as well!"
Please.- tcbishop12, on 05/12/2008, -1/+2Give it a rest, my friend. I do not know who you are calling a faker, but you're taking this far too personally.
- Taliese, on 05/12/2008, -1/+7Okay, so now we're "fakers" and "sock puppets" that haven't commited High Treason. Thanks for the clarification. LOL! BTW, how do we know you and your cohort what's-his-face aren't sock puppets? Seems to me that those pointing fingers are most likely guilty themselves. In fact, how do I know you're not just some internet troll pretending to be a Republican? I'd bet you pretend to be a Democrat on other threads just to keep the fire crackling.
For all I know you people are really Communists masquerading as Republicans, and you're secretly seeking to subvert the government. Or maybe you're really Al Queda operatives trying to promote chaos and strife among Americans? LOL!
You guys are a piece of work. We can all accuse each other of not being who we say we are till the cows come home, and Obama will still be elected the next president of the US, and I will still regret my vote for George Bush. Meanwhile, you will still be on this board accusing anyone who disagrees with you of sock puppetry and fakery. LOL!- Stevanoski, on 05/12/2008, -4/+2blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda, blah, blah blah Just answer our points of arguments. Glad your a Blame America Firster, suits you well.
- Sheeena, on 05/12/2008, -1/+2When did I say I blamed America first?
- Taliese, on 05/12/2008, -1/+2I never said I blamed America first, and neither did anyone else in this discussion. Where are you getting this stuff from, Stevanoski? Every Republican Obama supporter who's attempted to make meaningful comments in this discussion has been accused of either being a fake or a sock puppet. Then you've arbitrarily tossed out words and accused people of believing things they never ascribed to. So sad.
Taliese, signing out. - Stevanoski, on 05/12/2008, -3/+1One test, disagree with your new "friends" the Obamabots, see how they treat you. Say something positive about America, they will rip you to shreds.

- Stevanoski, on 05/12/2008, -4/+1If you want to blame the USA for terrorism your party of choice? Democrats
- Shuukyoku, on 05/12/2008, -1/+5Well, I think its valuable to keep in mind that he's a California republican, which is really a democrat. California democrats are actually socialists.
Also, Hillary isn't really a Democrat, she's a player. She likes being connected, she likes having the power, and she's out for herself.- Taliese, on 05/12/2008, -1/+2What is a "California Republican?" And who set you up as the Grand Poobah of "Real" Republicans? Surely you've got some divine insight. Some secret 'mojo' that enables you to paint a socialist label on thousands of people you've never even met. This is beyond silly. I don't know who is from where, but you do realize that you've just insulted every Republican in the state of CA, right? It's people like you that give our Party a bad name.
- Stevanoski, on 05/13/2008, -2/+3In Ms. Taliese's opinion, if any disagree with her they give all republicans a bad name.
- Taliese, on 05/13/2008, -1/+1Not at all. Since we're speaking about our party, I've disagreed with members whom I have a great deal of respect for, people who I feel are a credit to the Republican party. These people can disagree without being disagreeable. However, you and your cohorts are a horse of a different color. Anyone reading this exchange will see (and has seen) who really gives Republicans a bad name. And it's certainly not me. You and your friends represent the lowest common denominator in our nation and I can't wait until the day this country comes together to take a stand against those of your ilk. Your kind exists in both parties for one reason. To keep strife, intolerance and dissension alive. You thrive on it. The only thing you have to offer is negativity.
But you can best believe that a lot of Americans (Republican, Democrat and Independent) are getting sick of your brand of divisiveness. Folks like you (those filled with racial hatred, bigotry and animosity for others) represent the worst of what this great nation has to offer. Fortunately, people are beginning to see your kind for what it is---a stain on the map of this country---and they're pushing back. This time with political might.
Goodbye Stev, take care.
Taliese - Taliese, on 05/13/2008, -1/+2Oh, and BTW Stev, you can have the last word. I've said all I have to say to you. But please, try and take the high road for once ... if you can.

And everytime they're accused of racism, they can refer to the march, bail-out, helping hand, speaking out as evidence that they're not racists. But wait until you're about to rise to the top.

Seriously, if Obama is thin-skinned enough that this hurts his feelings, wait till november.
To his credit, I doubt accusing the Clintons of racism at every opportunity is nothing more than a tactic on the part of him and his staff.
That just means hes a politician. That's the same reason Hillary will try to pick up votes where Obama cant even get in the door.

And because of the tactics of Obama supporters from the Daily Kos, and Huffington Post, and Obamas own race baiting, its not like the super delegates can correct this.
- flossdaily, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1Blue states are going to Obama no matter what in this upcoming general election. That's what blue states do.
Obama's real strength is in the republican stronghold states, and among the swing voter demographic that will let him win the swing states.
The democratic base is coming to Obama- but Obama can get swing voters and some republicans. He also isn't as scary to the republicans as hillary, so they won't be able to mobilize an anti-obama vote of any real size, the way they could mobilize the anti-hillary vote. The anti-obama vote is going to be the racist conservative core that wouldn't vote for a democrat anyway.
The core of the democratic party mostly went to hillary, because she had a political machine up and running before the race started- but to act like these people won't fall in line behind Obama as soon as the nomination is sewn up is just plain naive.

STFU in '08!! - KLBP, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1At the beginning of the primary I knew I did not want to see the "Clinton Presidency Revisited". My first choice was Edwards because I knew him from the last campaign, thought he had good ideas and could raise above the partisan politics. I also wasn't so sure about Obama's environmental record as he had a history of supporting the coal industry. When Edwards dropped out I took a second look at Obama and decided his environmental record wasn't much different from Clinton's and I had grown to dislike her more as the campaign continued so I decided to support Obama.
If Clinton manages to steal the nomination through some back room deal, I'm not sure who I will vote for in the general election, but it won't be Clinton. Her behavior on the campaign trail has been despicable and I do not believe in Presidential dynasties. If Clinton were to become president, it would mean that the country will have been run by the same two families for at least 24 years. We are not a monarchy and no two families should be able to maintain control over our country for so long.
- Vet4Peace, on 05/11/2008, -0/+3I would SO vote for that.
- venuspcs, on 05/11/2008, -13/+15My first choice for President in 2008 was Ron Paul, but alas he has no chance. My second choice is Barrack "I may be a Muslim" Obama. With that said let me say a few more things:
1.) I am not Republican or Democrat and have never considered myself as either. I have always voted for who I felt would do the best job, or in the absence of that for who I thought would do the least damage. Recently, though, I have begin to lean heavily towards "Libertarian" and am even contemplating joining the Libertarian Party.
2.) I don't particularly like or dislike either Ron Paul or Barrack Obama. I would have voted for Ron Paul solely because I believe our government has gotten to big and too ***** for its own good and I had held hope he would take us back to a more Constitutional Republic. I will most likely vote, now, for Barrack Obama because I hold out hope that his mixed heritage, mixed religious beliefs and smooth demeanor may be able to bring a peaceful end to the religious war being fought on earth between Christian and Muslim extremists like George W. Bush and Osama bin Laden.
3.) I sincerely believe that the Republican and Democratic parties have both seriously lost their way and have lost sight, completely, of what is important.....which is PEACE, PROSPERITY and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. But, sadly, both parties have been hijacked by Corporate Greed, they have believed the lies of extremists like Bush and have abandoned the very tenets of our Constitution and our Belief System (what ever religion or belief system you may have).
4.) The day has arrived for us as a nation and as human beings to rise up in revolt and say enough is enough....there will be no more fighting in the name of religion....there will be no more screwing the people in the name of Corporate Profits....there will be no more intolerance of people and their skin color or beliefs.
Every major country on Earth has laws against it yet Racism, Bigotry and Religious Persecution prevail. WHY?- JointVenture, on 05/11/2008, -6/+7No real Ron Paul supporter could ever support Obama.
Explain yourself, on what issues do Ron Paul and Obama stand together on?
The war? Yeah well he's already basically said what everyone knows, NO president is going to come to office and bring the troops home. I think he's what up to 2 years now?
Just wait till he gets to office.
What I wonder is if Obama fans will be real and hold him accountable.- venuspcs, on 05/11/2008, -0/+5I never said, nor claimed to be a Ron Paul supporter or a Barrack Obama supporter....in fact I think I clearly stated I didn't support either of them and then clearly stated why I would have voted for Ron Paul and why I will now vote for Barrack Obama......learn to read (and understand).
"Explain yourself, on what issues do Ron Paul and Obama stand together on?"
Absolutely nothing as far as I can tell, but as I originally stated my voting for Barrack is for entirely different reasons that those for which I would have voted for Ron Paul.
"What I wonder is if Obama fans will be real and hold him accountable."
Sadly, probably not.....Bush fans sure as frack haven't held him responsible so why should any other candidate/president fear being held accountable.....we can:
1.) either hope and pray that the next president will hold himself accountable to the people who put him/her there, or
2.) the citizens of America will finally grow some fracking balls and hold him/her accountable.- JointVenture, on 05/13/2008, -1/+1"My first choice for President in 2008 was Ron Paul, but alas he has no chance. "

- leparsdon, on 05/11/2008, -2/+1For the same reason there are laws against drug use, but people still do drugs.
- whatever01, on 05/11/2008, -2/+2Because humanity evolved as small groups and it therefore tribal. We protect our own. Which means, unfortunately, that we tend to attack that which is different from us because it's easier than seeing how it is similar to us. It is difficult, and punished, to hold mutually contradictory points of view in your head. If you do, you are deemed impure, weak, or soft, which are bad things when under attack. When you find your tribe (whatever you see that as) surrounded, we are programmed to see it as "under attack".
Interestingly, many of the divisions that cause great tension are the ones that aren't obvious to outsiders - Irish Catholics vs Irish Protestants (two Irish Christian groups?), Hawaiians vs Tahitians (two Polynesian groups?), Spanish vs Portuguese (they're neighbors, for Pete's sake), Mac vs Windows, Google vs Yahoo, Nortenos vs Surenos, Hell's Angels vs Mongols, Shiites vs Sunni ... etc ad nauseum - and I do mean nauseum. As for whey there's are laws against it? You make laws and rules against things that people do. If no one did it, there wouldn't be any laws against it.
Are we doomed? Only if we think that we don't have these biases and that others do. We're all biased, and there's no getting rid of them. But the next time you're dealing outside your tribe, think about what your biases are. And try to acknowledge them to your self, if no one else. - BrendanSheehan, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2"mixed religious beliefs" ?

And BLACK PEOPLE WORK JUST AS HARD, IF NOT HARDER!!!!! Hell Barack certainly has to work harder in this election, and he's winning!!!! We never even heard of superdelegate before the Barack started running for office. Moreover, we built this damn country on the backs of OUR HARD LABOR and deserve the HONOR AND RESPECT of Bill and Hillary Clinton and this entire nation!!! Every road you travel, every field that you get food from today were almost ALL created on the backs of slaves! How dare you even insinuate that somehow the white blue collar workers are the most important to the DNC!!! You name ONE democrat or president that got their presidency without the Black vote since we fought for the right to vote (which has to be renewed every so often)??? EVERY VOTE SHOULD BE IMPORTANT TO THE DNC and America!! EVERY VOTE!!
It started in New Hampshire, but every said Bill was misunderstood. Then we had the Martin Luther King comments from Hillary, but no no, that wasn't what she meant. Then we had the South Carolina comments, but no no, that's not what he meant. Then we had the Ed Rendell comments (but no one talks about how he is the one who actually has a relationship with Farrakhan and has praised him and called him a great leader in the 20th century), but no no, he misspoke. Then we had Geraldine Ferrro, but no no, she wasn't being racist, although she said the same thing about Jesse Jackson. Now we have Hillary with the hardworking blue collar white voters are what matters to the DNC, let me guess, no no no, that's not what she meant?? This is why she only got 6% of the black vote. I wish this country had never brought us here in chains!!
To be in 2008 and to be treated as not just second class voters, but second class media viewers, second class presidential candidates...this is sick. What's next Hillary, black people should only count as 3/5th of a vote? IM THROUGH!!! DONE WITH HILLARY AND BILL CLINTON!!!!- sl9sl9, on 05/11/2008, -7/+3Tip: The MORE you TALK in CAPS and use EXCLAMATION MARKS, the LESS likely people are to READ your comment, and the MORE likely they are to THINK that you're a NUTCASE. For some unknown reason a lot of Obama supporters on digg are doing this.
- OlivierNO, on 05/11/2008, -1/+1"For some unknown reason a lot of Obama supporters on digg are doing this" pffff.. yeah, right....
- TellTheWorld, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2Frankly, I'm glad African Americans and just about every other American are finally seeing Hill and Bill for who they really are - big phonies. It's about time, too. I'm not going to rehash Hill and Bill's recent comments or whether I believe they were racist. I would like to say that the government is not equipped to be everything to everyone. The sooner African Americans wean themselves from big government, including the empty promises politicians make to us every 4 years, the better.

- frombeyond, on 05/11/2008, -4/+3After decades of screaming racism about everything, calling the United States a racist country, etc... now the Left says no, no, no, none of that exists now, race will have no impact on Obamas candidacy. LOL Isnt that conveeenient.
- sevenvt, on 05/11/2008, -2/+0Its more of 'lets try to rise above it for this candidacy' less than 'lets all ignore it'
- 140Suffolk, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2That's the smartest comment I've seen on digg in a while. IMHO.
- fani, on 05/11/2008, -0/+9FTA : “That was a great celebration of African-American history,” the supporter said, to which Obama immediately responded: “No, no, no, no, no. That was not a great celebration of African-American history. That was a celebration of American history.”
I got goosebumps reading that. That man is so inspiring, its phenomenal. I can't believe how excited I feel hearing him speak. I didn't even know this was possible from a politician.
Change is coming.....- sevenvt, on 05/11/2008, -0/+1Something I say everytime I hear those kind of comments, I -hope- change is coming, he has my vote but no politician has my trust.
- 140Suffolk, on 05/11/2008, -5/+2THAT gives you goosebumps? That's inspiring? That's all it takes to get you excited?
Geez you're easy.- fani, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1Although your cynicism is justified, actually - even required, this time its different. This time, I spent time listening and learning.
I have listened to many debates and a lot of what Obama and Hillary said ( on Youtube as well :) and also via MSM like Keith Olberman, O'reilly, USA Today, Hardball etc. I didn't bias and only listen to one party - I gave everyone a fair chance of presenting themselves to me - the voter.
Here are my findings on how I rated them -
Politicians -
1. Obama 2.[no one] 3. Kucinich 4. Ron Paul 5. [ no one ]
MSM
1. Keith Olberman 2. Daily Show (lol) 3. [no one] 4. [no one] 5.[no one]
In short, Obama was far ahead of the rest of the candidates in terms of issue standing, voter appeal, sincerity, message, focus and finally President-material. In fact, I found Obama to be overqualified for the job ;) He would not only make a fine President, he would also be one heck of a statesman, humanitarian and motivational/inspirational speaker. He is that good.
On the MSM side, Keith Olberman left everyone in the dust with his reporting and I found Bill O'Reilly a little biased and senseless in his arguments. Keith O. was terrific and I listened to his put down on Hillary with amazement. ( The clinton "denounce and reject" 9min monlogue )
You do have a good point re. not being that easy, but as you can hopefully see - my vote isn't sought easy. I do my research before I give out my precious vote.

- wright3279, on 05/11/2008, -6/+5It gets so old to see these daily bashings of Clinton and laudings of Obama. Let it rest ONE day! Bet you can't. digg is obsessed with barak. After all he's the savior of all mankind!
- sevenvt, on 05/11/2008, -1/+0No such thing, religious zealots are a republican thing ;P
- tcbishop12, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2When Hillary concedes, we'll give it a rest. Her campaign chairman today on Meet the Press is suggesting that she will strong arm the rules committee on May 31 to change the nominating process. So, no, not until she concedes will you see anything but a roar of righteous indignation against Hillary Clinton, a candidate ruled by blind ambition and operating without a moral compass of any kind.
- lhbaker, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2If Digg is addicted to Obama, why isn't his name in the spell checker?
- iancwishlist, on 05/11/2008, -1/+7This campaign has made me lose significant respect for Bill Clinton. It makes me sad.
- Ansible, on 05/11/2008, -0/+1I never did trust that guy, he always came across as fake to me on TV. Let's count ourselves lucky that the true colors of the Clintons are now more obvious than ever.
- lhbaker, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1I feel the same way.
- ravenswing2, on 05/11/2008, -3/+2Anyone who thinks that politicians trying to get elected think of people as people, is nuts. The election process is a simple commodities exchange. Votes are commodities in the possession of the voters. ***** is a commodity in the possession of the politician. The politician trys to get as many voters to swap votes for ***** as he or she can. The one who is most successful at trading ***** for votes wins.
- skyisking, on 05/11/2008, -4/+2So you Obama freaks ever notice how in the beginning of the race he would give speeches standing in front of a heavily black crowd so the camera could see him and that crowd? Well take a good look now, not a black person in view of the camera behind him just oreo white folks. Just a coincidence that he needs the votes of the white southern folks around this time and at the same time keeping only white people standing behind him? I believe Obama uses the race card more than anyone.
- gobbleplex, on 05/11/2008, -0/+3Yes because in the beginning off the race he was desperately behind in the black vote. They were, by and large, solidly for Clinton until all the racism started coming out of the Clinton camp. He had to fight to even make them come around to him in the beginning. At first he wasn't black enough, now he's too black? Make up your mind.
- 140Suffolk, on 05/11/2008, -6/+2I just don't understand the article. The Clintons are running AGAINST Obama. They are competing. Why is it unfair to bring up true facts from Obama's life?
Obama says in his autobiography that he used drugs when he was younger. Obama says in that book and many other places that Rev Wright was his spirtual guide and mentor and the inspiration for his book.
Why is it unfair to point that out? Answer -- it is NOT unfair. If Obama can't compete in the very civilized market of American politics, what is he going to say dealing with Iran? "Hey, that's not fair! You said you wouldn't nuke us! I'm telling!"
The fact is, Obama has accomplished little in his life. If the Democrats nominate him this will come out. He was a civil rights lawyer for 7 or 8 years. But never even had his name on any cases as attorney-of-record. Why? Cause he's a phony. He was a "community organizer" for a couple of years. Sounds great --- uh, what is that exactly? It means you get a bunch of non-productives angry enough to demand stuff from productive people. Often with veiled threats of violence. (see Al Sharpton).
Obama was an Illinois senator. What will come out is that the bills he "sponsored" were actually sponsored by other Illinois Dems -- but they were induced to take their names off the bills and put Obama's name on -- to create for him a resume.
Why? Remember Mary Tyler Moore Show? Obama is the black Ted Baxter of politics. He looks good in a suit. He can read his lines very well.
But he's a fake. Phony. Fraud.
And wait until America hears his position on slavery reparations!- Ansible, on 05/11/2008, -0/+4What a load of *****. He's a senator for christs sake, what do you want here for experience?
Putting Obama's experience up against Hillary's 'war record' (under fire in Bosnia), and McCain's ethics (look up Keating Five), I'd say he comes out pretty well.- 140Suffolk, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2What do I want for experience? Obama's never DONE anything. Never run a county. Or a town or a state. Or a platoon. Or an ice cream stand. Never had a spot where he had to make decisions and then face the results.
Hilary was fired from her job assisting in the Nixon Watergate situation. And since then she's lived in government housing and sponged off her husband. Bill Clinton has experience, for better or worse. But Hilary? No.
Regarding McCain, I hate McCain-Feingold as it obviously violates free speech. I hate the immigration "reform" bill he sponsored, as did 85% of Americans. I don't like what he did in the 80s with Keating.
But McCain is not a socialist sympathizer as Obama and Hilary are. He doesn't believe that America needs to be torn down and rebuilt as Obama and Hilary do. So I'll vote for him, given the choices available.- Ansible, on 05/11/2008, -0/+2I don't believe Hillary wants america, torn down, built up, or anything in between. The only thing the Clinton's really care about is themselves. If Hillary thinks socialism will get her elected, then socialism it will be. If she thinks laissez-faire capitalism will put her in the white house, that's what she'll be spouting next.
- 140Suffolk, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2What do I want for experience? Obama's never DONE anything. Never run a county. Or a town or a state. Or a platoon. Or an ice cream stand. Never had a spot where he had to make decisions and then face the results.

- flink405, on 05/11/2008, -3/+6If Obama was white would he get over 90% of the black vote?
- mchisari, on 05/11/2008, -0/+4Bill Clinton carried 84 percent of the black vote in 1996, John Kerry won 88 percent in 2004. So yeah, probably.
- Revlution4ever, on 05/11/2008, -0/+4Let's see...
Clinton got 88% of the black vote in 96.
....yes.
- threat42, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2Well said, Mr. Sullivan! It's amazing to look at all those rising numbers in sequence when it comes to the ACTUAL momentum that Obama has behind him. No spin or anything. He's just weathered the storm and emerges presidential. Thanks for a great article.
- NelsonR, on 05/11/2008, -3/+2You must admit, Democracy is grand.
Bill and Hillary are like old dictatorships of old, power means control and control means you have dictatorial rights unlike the 99.99999 percent of humans who never desire or seek abysmal behavior..
Allow them to melt into oblivion and take all their millions with them to satiate their need to supervise others. With all those millions they can't hire plenty of, "BOYS". - egossett, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2Glad this article was written and is being digged. It says a lot and is getting others to say a lot at the same time realizing that we all need to work for change by any means necessary.
- cheddarhead92, on 05/11/2008, -4/+2i read the headline as "hillary Clinton's Suicidal gamble with RAT poison". I was so excited for a second.
- JoEBlack982, on 05/11/2008, -3/+2I call ***** on this part : In the last months, the Clintons pushed the story about Jeremiah Wright (Obama’s fiery pastor) hard, but the media did all the heavy lifting.
Yeah right, it's fun to trash Hillary but at least stick with the facts. - flamesrule, on 05/12/2008, -3/+1Why is this a big deal? I mean, in a perfect world, no one would look at Obama as a black politician but hey, it's America and God knows, it ain't perfect. Hillary gets the white vote, Obama gets the black. I don't see that as racist, I doubt Obama would ever win the white vote without a white VP. Sorry but that's the world we live in. Hey, would Tiger Woods be as popular as he is if he were white? Or Asian? Of course not. That's part of his appeal, he knows it and so does everyone else. If he weren't black, he would be slightly more famous than Sergio Garcia, and Sergio Garcia isn't famous. What about Venus and Serena Williams? Or how about Lewis Hamilton? No one gave a damn about F1 racing but then a brother starts winning and my god, every one's a fan.
Obama's black and hey, if it works for him, fine. But let's face it, if he were white, exact same person, but white, how would you feel about him? He probably wouldn't have made it this far, Clinton would have gotten a lot more black votes. Obama would have been criticized a lot more often and that Rev. Wright thing would have buried him forever. - username484767, on 05/12/2008, -4/+3She is such a *****.
- chaseonfire, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1Race poison eh? So she was that ninja in Speed Racer... knew it.
- Barackalypse, on 05/12/2008, -2/+1"Race poison"?! OMG, Rev. Wright was correct all along, she's trying to kill all the black peoples!
- bhod, on 05/12/2008, -3/+3GObama!
- flossdaily, on 05/12/2008, -1/+1As an Obama supporter, I respectfully request that people stop saying "GObama!" because it makes us all look stupid.

- kcalabama06, on 05/12/2008, -2/+1Do you know what we used to call people like the Clinton's in the South?
CARPET BAGGERS !!!
They came down to "HELP" the poor and afflicted but all they did was rake in the power and the money - and left the population to fend for themselves.
It is too bad we didn't throw the Clintons out of the south also! - opensourcer, on 05/12/2008, -1/+2"A woman is like a tea bag" quote is annoying. It foretells her agendas. She's gonna tax us like the Brits back in the days. Let's throw her in the water and have a tea party.
- wishninja, on 05/12/2008, -1/+3I was thinking of New Hillary campain slogans and I had one I think would get her the votes she is seeking:
"Don't be a wigger vote for Hillary!"
