Hardball: Kevin James being a total douche on "appeasement" watch!
msnbc.msn.com — After Bush makes a veiled reference to Obama, Chris Matthews tries to get Kevin James of KRLA radio to explain what "appeasement" means in relation to World War II, Neville Chamberlain and Hitler. The guy can't answer the question. Chris Matthews crushes the guy.

- diggeradoo, on 05/15/2008, -0/+5This clip gets really funny at the 4:00 minute mark when Chris Matthews puts Kevin James (talk show host, not comedian) on the spot with a history question relating to the whole "appeasement" issue - "What did Neville Chamberlain do wrong?"
James' answer, "He was an appeaser."
Matthews, "But what does that mean? What did he do wrong?"
Repeat that for about 5 minutes and the guy can never answer the question. Finally, Chris Matthews totally shuts him down. Classic. - JosselynB, on 05/16/2008, -0/+1More than shuts him down! He only lets it go after the douche finally says, "I don't know." Great stuff!

And Iran spent a stupendous 1% of our defense budget last year. I really can't imagine the Iranian Luftwaffe flying over Kansas anytime soon. Seriously...we're grown-up's, right?
And, Chris's point was right on: what exactly have we 'given' to our enemies (with the exception of years of intervention into the internal affairs of their nations)? Nixon talked to China. Reagan talked to Gorbachev. FDR aligned with Stalin. Or perhaps you went to the Kevin James History Academy and missed out on those events?
