Former Energy Secretary Bill Richardson Touts Energy Plan In NH
boston.com — Richardson's 10-year plan for shifting the nation's energy focus away from foreign oil includes the goal of cutting in half by 2020 the country's dependence on oil, and getting 30 percent of electricity from renewable sources by 2020. Richardson also would reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent by 2030 and 90 percent by 2050.

Sohbet Karbuz with energybulletin.net says that it takes 15 gallons per day per deployed soldier in Iraq. Can you imagine how much fuel consumption could be avoided by withdrawing the US Army from Iraq?
