I love Chris Dodd, and I am so happy I am moving to Connecticut in August (not because of him; that would be ridiculous). He's definitely in my top ten senators. This may have moved him up a few places.

I'm a huge Obama supporter, but I think Hillary has completely legitimate shot at this. Yeah if all you go by is Digg headlines, you'd think shes been out of this thing since January, but look at the news, newspapers, other online sources, and I don't think you can ask her to step down any more than you can ask Barak. If she ends up with the nomination and you're shell-shocked cuz "well but politico.com said..., but all I watch is MSNBC and Olberman said..." well then I think you need to realize there's plenty of people out there with differing opinions to make this a race.

We need more politicians with the balls to speak their minds such as Dodd has, male or female.

Man, as somebody who supports Obama, my fellow Obama supporters really make it hard to be associated with their petty rhetoric. Jesus Christ... How many times can you call Hillary a "Bitch", "Hitlery", "Shrill"? Honestly, it doesn't really make me support her any more, but it IS a fact that she is being judged by a totally different standard than a male candidate would be.

"Shrill" and "Bitchy" would be called "Confident" and "Forceful" were it a male saying the exact same words.

Regardless, Obama's scare in the past couple of weeks shows why we definitely can't just assume he is the chosen one.

i think if Edwards came out in support of Obama, and more importantly ENDING this stupid pipe dream of Hillary's ..as well as some other prominent Dems...the faster the party can rally around their candidate and end the GOP's destruction of America.

I'm an avid Obama supporter but I am honestly not upset with the fact that Clinton is staying in the race. I think that by the convention the true candidate will emerge and the democratic party will rally behind him. Its more then likely that the democrats will regain the White House in 08 and here's a point:

Regardless of who you support - the two candidates are quite close and neither has technically sealed it. If following the rules and waiting until the democratic primary process is complete before choosing a candidate is going to be "disastrous" then isn't something wrong with the rules? Isn't counting every vote and giving everyone an opportunity to vote part of what democracy is all about? Why the rush - let it play out according to the rules.

I don't understand digg, I can understand there being a majority of Obama supporters here and thats fine, but i figured there were more supporters for democracy. Hilary hasn't lost and her odds of out right winning maybe short but she can certainly take it to the convention, why do you want to take away an option from voters.
You can dislike Hilary but don't tell her to drop out, there are people who want to vote for what she represents, it maybe bad for the democratic party(i don't think it is) but who cares its good for democracy

Still, I cant shake the ominous feeling that Senator Clinton has yet to pull some kind of Tonya Harding stunt out of her dirty tricks bag (i.e., the political equivalent of clubbing Barack Obama in the knee so he can no longer compete). That other shoe has, you will admit, not yet dropped.

Almost 20% of the states haven't even had the chance to vote in a Dem primary yet. Fine if you want a clearly chosen candidate earlier in the year, but then move up the primary. Some of us are sick of having other states determine the nominee every time while our state never gets any input because it's all over by then.

That said, I would be gleeful if Hillary bowed out today!

Can't the Dems just kick Hillary out of the party? It seems like the logical choice at this point; she is doing nothing but hurting Obama's chances against McCain and making the party look bad.
