Clueless McCain Suggests Rationing Vets Health Care
huffingtonpost.com — Hey, he's a Republican. What do you expect? If they gave more support to our vets, then we'd have to reduce the OBSCENE TAX CUTS FOR THE SUPER-RICH.

Is it too much to ask to get the full picture of his views before we jump to conclusions about them and submit them to Digg?
And, duckley (the submitter), why do feel the need to voice your opinion about a completely different and unrelated policy in the description? It adds nothing to the article you submitted.- insanebrain, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2there is only 1 conclusion to make . .. THE MAN IS A DUMB ***** !
- krische, on 07/23/2008, -10/+5Oh wow, a new icon. Moving on up a I see Huffington Post.
- algaeturd, on 07/23/2008, -3/+9This guy is shaping up to be as bad or worse than Bush. Without doubt, he is ill prepared and ill qualified to be in ANY high government position. Nobody has to say that about him; his words speak for themselves.
- OffPiste, on 07/24/2008, -17/+5I'm a vet and he still has my vote. I don't want America to live under Sharia law so there is no way in hell I'll ever vote for Obama.
- cquinnd, on 07/24/2008, -3/+13I'm also a vet, and you must not think very highly of the system you defended if you believe what you just said.
- Rotzooi, on 07/24/2008, -3/+11I'm a vet and I am offended by possibly having served alongside you.
- charm803, on 07/24/2008, -2/+10Should have used your GI bill to take some Politics 101.
- jmpeagle, on 07/24/2008, -2/+10i'm not a vet and I don't like shrimp scampi so there is no way in hell I will vote for McCain. Hey mine makes just as much sense.
- Millsee, on 07/24/2008, -1/+2I'm not letting you near my cats (even if I am in England)..
100 British pounds says you're not a vet anyway. - stevo9er, on 07/24/2008, -1/+5Wouldn't we be more likely to live under Sharia law due to Republicans? They are the ones that are constantly attacking gay marriage, woman's rights to abortions, etc. All things that Sharia Law has laws against.
- mshtml, on 07/24/2008, -9/+4"Hey, he's a Republican. What do you expect?"
Two things. First, McCain is a neocon, he's no republican. Second, if you still believe there's a difference between the two major parties you're a ***** idiot.- jmpeagle, on 07/24/2008, -2/+6he is a republican. Republican is not an ideology, it's a political party. You can make an argument that he is not conservative but that has nothing to do with whether or not he is a Republican. You can believe in communism and still be 100% a Republican or Democrat. There are no ideological requirements to be a member of either party.
- zombies187, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1Neocons are different than Republicans but Republicans are not different than Democrats? Hmmm...
- LoneRanger85, on 07/24/2008, -10/+10Veterans health care is socialized medicine. ALL socialized medicine in EVERY country is rationed. Yet, that's what you Democrats want for all of us.
- Wartyboskfapped, on 07/24/2008, -1/+6Hello, you're an idiot.
- LoneRanger85, on 07/25/2008, -1/+1Hello, I'm a veteran.
- DiscoUnderpants, on 07/24/2008, -1/+3All medicine in all countries is rationed... socialised or otherwise. Else there would be and infinite amount of medical resources.
- Murrabbit, on 07/24/2008, -1/+5Um no, actually it's not. That's why they call it Universal health-care. . . because everyone gets themselves a slice.
Well then again that's a broad statement, too - it assumes that all universal health care plans are the same. They are not. Check out PBS Frontline's documentary "Sick around the world" It's free to watch online (I'll assume you can use google). If you'd like to categorize universal healthcare as "Giving government control of the healthcare system" then you're going to have to ignore a lot of facts, including the fact that plenty of nations have implemented systems which provide care for all, or lowered prices to be available to all without fitting such a description - and it'd also do you well to look up Obama's healthcare plan which by no means is "handing everything over to big government".
Do the research before you go shooting your mouth off like some brain dead dittohead.- LoneRanger85, on 07/25/2008, -1/+1Yeah, PBS. That's an unbiased source. http://www.city-journal.org/html/17_3_canadian_hea ... http://www.heartland.org/Article.cfm?artId=536 Those who value knowledge know that countries with "universal health care" are a nightmare. Those who value knowledge. And, since I'm older than 15, I won't call you any names.
- duckley, on 07/25/2008, -0/+0Have you ever lived in a country with Socialized Medicine?
Do you know that you pay THREE TIMES AS MUCH as they do for the SAME health care?
Do you know that, if you consider Health Insurance as a tax, that Americans pay HIGHER TAXES than people in Britain?
There is NO more efficient "pool" of people for health insurance than the largest pool: The Whole Country.
Lone Ranger, you are an ignorant blowhard, brainwashed by those who exploit you.
- Wartyboskfapped, on 07/24/2008, -1/+6Hello, you're an idiot.
- Rudegar, on 07/24/2008, -1/+2digg for clueless making me think of the movie and "talk to the hand" which kinda match a lot of those McCain thumbs
- jackal42, on 07/24/2008, -1/+5Government inflicted health problems, should be fixed by the government.
- smacksaw, on 07/24/2008, -1/+2That's pretty much how it goes when I'm in Canada, and civilians and veterans both deal with that.
This is what you get if you want socialised medicine. It's your choice, people - either give 80% of the people excellent health care and 20% are left to rot or give 100% of the people the same overburdened system.
What he said is not any more or less offencive than what Obama or Hillary's plans are. All we have is a choice to make, and neither is perfect. - Treoinmypocket, on 07/24/2008, -0/+4Has anyone noticed that since Obama began touring around and is being asked (more importantly having to answer) questions by the press, as opposed to giving prepared speeches, the volume of pro -Obama articles on the front page has dropped tremendously?
- zombies187, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1Wheres all the 'Huffpost is teh spam buried' comments? Is there a meeting going on somewhere?
