- DaHuuuuuudge, on 06/02/2008, -23/+10She had the racist vote, but Obama had the sexist vote.
- EvilCan, on 06/02/2008, -11/+6This man speaks the truth.
- RebeL5K, on 06/02/2008, -2/+11Well I submit that there are a hell of a lot more racists than there are sexists. If you will recall, he started out with huge leads in tn the male vote and towards the last few months it pretty much leveled out to 53-47. Also, keep in mind there are reverse sexists, too - she has a lot of support from women who support her merely because she is a woman. If you don't believe me, go check out her blog, or recall the reaction a couple weeks ago when NARAL endorsed Obama. So yes, he may have the sexist vote, but she has the sexist vote AND the racist vote. And yes, it could be argued that a lot of black folk voted for him because he is black, so then they both have the racist vote and the sexist vote. However, per the last U.S. Census, there are more women than there are men in this country; there are more whites than there are blacks. So while they both have a certain amount of racist and sexist voters, the net prejudice certainly benefited Sen. Clinton.

- NightVortez, on 06/02/2008, -6/+6Actually both had the racist and the sexist vote, just from their own sides.
- ahoy, on 06/02/2008, -12/+2shut the ***** up, seriously.
Hillary's campaign may have gone a little overboard with a strategy that seems to have divided the democratic party; however, what did you expect her to do, drop out?
While Obama has been the projected winner for quite some time now, her numbers are also undeniable. She is behind him by an arguably small margin, and to suggest that she drops out of this monumental campaign is ridiculous by principle alone.
If this next month is not spent by these two putting aside their differences, then forget about November.
Obama, if you are hoping to unite our country, do the right thing and recognize the 25 million women who will stay home if the Clinton name is not also on those blue bumper stickers. Hillary, be more gracious, everyone in their right mind knows you're worthy.- ahoy, on 06/02/2008, -2/+1I guess I forgot to start my post with the obligatory "I'm an Obama supportor, but..." for it to be considered.
Don't ***** yourself, this is a contest for which candidate will represent the democratic party; and both have shown themselves worthy. Hell, their politics aren't even that different. Who the ***** else is going to be vice president? - thpeyton, on 06/02/2008, -0/+3why would you start your argument with "shut the ***** up, seriously"?
and yes i do expect her to drop out.- ahoy, on 06/02/2008, -2/+11. Because he ended his with Biatch.
2. It ain't happening, it would be severely demoralizing to half the democrats that voted for her. Her campaign should, however, tweak their goals. - MonexFRAUD, on 09/20/2008, -0/+0You should probably think about investing in gold and silver in these troubled times. - YoshoKatana, on 06/02/2008, -0/+3Are you implying that if Obama doesn't pick Clinton as his VP, 25 million women won't vote?
If that is the case, I'd rather those 25 million women stay home, as they are clearly irrational. (Those specific people, not women in general, haha. I'm not sexist.)
Clinton should have dropped out gracefully when there was no possibility of getting the nomination. The moment she started campaigning the superdelegates to go against the will of the people was the moment she lost all respect as a presidential candidate.- ahoy, on 06/02/2008, -2/+1No, I think 25 million people will be demoralized about voting for Obama if he ignores the worthy candidacy of Hillary Clinton.
- JulyZerg, on 06/02/2008, -2/+1So, basically, Hillary's a bitch, her supporters are bitches, so Obama should drop out?
- ahoy, on 06/02/2008, -2/+1...what?
- ahoy, on 06/02/2008, -2/+1I guess I forgot to start my post with the obligatory "I'm an Obama supportor, but..." for it to be considered.
- NightVortez, on 06/02/2008, -0/+5May sound hypocritical but how is this even up for argument? You know what vote both candidates had? The people vote, that's right, people, no matter the race, sex, political preference, personal agenda, prejudice ect. One candidate got more votes then the other, period, let the media try to divide everyone to try to decide why that happened, but the truth is and always will be that more people voted for, and therefore preferred one way or the other, the candidate who has won.
- CaviMike, on 06/02/2008, -0/+3I'm gonna imagine you said that in a Dave Chappelle voice.
- nixfu, on 06/02/2008, -9/+2If you ask me Obama is the one with the RACIST vote...
After all Clinton does not associate and public approve anti-american, racist, anti-whitey people like Obama does.- ahoy, on 06/02/2008, -0/+2First off, Clinton has been publicly associated with Rev. Wright.
And second, although his preaching is extremist and sometimes outright incorrect, it cant really be branded as anti-american or anti-white. He is preaching a liberation theology; black power is not black supremacy. African Americans have been and still are treated unjustly both socially and politically... theres room for some harsh words for them to say. - OniSyphon, on 06/02/2008, -0/+1I'm glad you called that nixfu.
I'm surprised no one else mentioned the press conference where Obama wore the Jeremiah Wright t-shirt and quoted his favorite lines. Wait hold on...
Okay, my people are telling me he didn't publicly approve it at all and you actually have no leg to stand on.
Sorry, guys for wasting everyones time.

I only wish she hadn't sacrificed so much of her dignity and the public's trust and good will towards her.
She's a powerful woman and she's worked hard for many great causes, she just couldn't see that the presidency just wasn't going to happen for her...

- 808ethan, on 06/02/2008, -11/+14This does raise awareness of our angry bitches problem. I hope to see this issue discussed during the general election.
- backgen, on 06/02/2008, -7/+21What is interesting to note though, is that even though Obama has been having a tough time lately with the general primaries, if you take a look at the Caucuses he's won almost all of them. Since people who attend a primary Caucus are usually more politically savvy and are certainly very interested in politics, i'd say they would be much more accurately informed about the two candidates than the average joe who gets his news from Fox.
I personally think that Obama has shown himself to be quite obviously the best choice for the oval office and as such it's really sad to see the sheer rampant ignorance of many voting Americans through the results of these primaries. I think this screams out that people need to be better educated on politics from a younger age.
Hopefully, Tuesday night will bring clear victories for Obama in Montana and South Dakota and we will see enough Superdelegates flocking to him on Wednesday for him to clinch the nomination quickly.
I only pray that Hillary will do the best thing for the Democratic party by endorsing him and get her supporters to rally him so that the Republicans can finally leave the White House and allow the country to regain it's status in the World.- danfive555, on 06/02/2008, -13/+3Obama is a great candidate, but the caucus system is flawed, his people intimidated others to win in caucuses, we remember his thugs during the Texas Caucus. They literally bullied staunch Clinton supporters, and the press killed the complaints because it was obvious it made black voters look unruly and intimidating.
- 0xception, on 06/02/2008, -1/+4Look i have no evidence to dispute what you claimed, but in the caucuses i've attended (in the past as well), all of which were in iowa. i never once experienced anything such as that. In fact i would say i had a better experience then i did in California's primary elections. Both systems have their advantages and disadvantages. Caucuses are good for activism and voter organization (the ground game) and primary are good for mass media propaganda and image perception.
Primaries have a larger percentage of uninformed voters and voters who base their decisions on name recognition (as if those were mutually exclusive), while caucuses have long drawn out process that can be difficult for the elderly (you might not know that form looking at an Iowa caucus) and for those just to busy to spend a few hours on that particular night.
I say the mixed system we have now provides a very good test of a candidate's ability to organize campaign ground troops as well as their activist support via the caucus as well as test them on their mass media propaganda/message/marketing of their image, view and points on a larger scale via the primaries. both of these are vital to the general election as well as a presidency if one needs to push a contested policy, or engage or energize the citizenry during any future event.- danfive555, on 06/11/2008, -0/+1Texas has a lot of black people compared to Iowa. Try being in room full of angry black people (from an ugly rural state).
- jayb1rd, on 06/02/2008, -0/+1Just because Obama supporters were being dicks doesn't mean that he or the members of his campaign are. Even I don't hold Hillary Clinton personally responsible for the "Hillary for You And Me" video.
- 0xception, on 06/02/2008, -1/+4Look i have no evidence to dispute what you claimed, but in the caucuses i've attended (in the past as well), all of which were in iowa. i never once experienced anything such as that. - kurupt, on 06/02/2008, -4/+6She's shown us thus far that she will fight tooth and nail to try to steal this nomination away from Obama. Now that there are only a few more contests remaining, she's got a couple of options. One: Bow out gracefully and shift her support (and urge her supporters) to vote for Obama in November to ensure we don't end up with McSame in the White House. Two: Take this to the credentials committee and keep this nonsense going up until the convention, ensuring a divided party while helping the Republican spin machine win the general election so she can take another shot at it in 2012.
The third option listed by the NYTimes would make her look like a sore loser even more than she already has.
Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid need to sit her down once Obama reaches the magic delegate number and tell her to stop before she fractures the party even more and urge her supporters to rally around Barack.- malman4, on 06/02/2008, -6/+2aren't you people the ones in favor of the popular vote?

Hillary is only 23k votes short of being ahead in the popular vote. It's not like Obama is way ahead. He obviously isn't getting traction in a large amount of the Democratic party. Just look at Puerto Rico. Landslide victory for Clinton. How could they not have voted for the Obama? Are they all deluded?- PhireN, on 06/02/2008, -1/+5Popular vote isn't what wins you the nomination, you need delegates.

- nixfu, on 06/02/2008, -2/+1Funny, that is not what Democrats were all yelling last election, Hypocrites.
- RebeL5K, on 06/02/2008, -1/+5Plus your numbers leave out all the votes from the caucuses and give Obama '0' for Michigan. Quick question, though: How come when, as in W. Virginia, when Clinton wins by 1.5%, "A win is a win is a win!! We won, doesn't matter by what margin!!" But when Obama is ahead, even by omitting 4 contests plus Michigan, suddenly, "well, he's ONLY ahead by 23,000 votes". I thought EVERY vote should count? How about the 8% lead in pledged delegates? So much for "a win is a win" - that only seems to apply if it's Hillary Clinton.. And P.S. Puerto Rico doesn't get to vote for President, so their primary vote equates to *****. I suspect that had the tables been turned and Obama had won PR, her camp and her supporters would be hollering at every opportunity how PR doesn't count because they don't vote for President, the same way that about 20 of Obama's wins don't count because "they go Republican anyway". If you can seriously say that those roughly 20 wins don't really count because they are in red states, that same reasoning says you would use the same logic with PR (were it not in your favor), as PR is an invisible non-state (as it relates to the general).
- mrraven200, on 06/02/2008, -0/+2Hillary was so disgusting to many of us here in Michigan that FORTY percent of delegates voted non committal rather than vote for the racist corporate sock puppet:
"40% of Michigan voters voted uncommitted, "
http://www.nowpublic.com/world/politisite-projecti ...
That says something about "electability" when 40% take the trouble to show up and say NO WAY Hillary when she is the only choice on the ballot.

The truth is that obama is not winning by a land slide. Thats the point Also digg itself is hurting obamas chances against mcain by bashing hillary and her supporters. Hillary has about almost half the democratic voters. if she says screw it and indorses mcain obama is in BIG TROUBLE.
That is why i thing digg members should stop bashing her. they are causing harm to obamas campaign by doing this since she basically holds half the democratic voters in her hands.
Go ahead and digg me down but its the truth.- deadbaby, on 06/02/2008, -2/+5I'm an Obama supporter but I think it's great she's stayed in the race. It has completely distracted everyone from the McCain campaign -- it's almost like he's not even running.
- coolkatz321, on 06/02/2008, -3/+1I agree completely... especially with the latest round of polls show Obama significantly behind in Ohio AND Florida, two states the Democrats NEED to win to bolster that election to the presidency in November. Clinton essentially needs to step down, and start campaigning for Obama at full force... unite the party, and defeat McCain in November.
- yojiffyskippy, on 06/02/2008, -1/+2That is very true. All the Hillary hating is just as dividing and damaging as Hillary herself. Instead of letting the Primary process run it's course (just like it did anyway) and letting the best candidate win (just like it will anyway), all the haters on both sides (Obama and Hillary) have driven a wedge in an already divided and weak Democratic party.
- RebeL5K, on 06/02/2008, -0/+5Just as you are quick to point out that digg.com users are not representative of how voters feel, you shouldn't be so quick to assert that it is representative of Obama supporters, either.
We are under no obligation to treat Clinton supporters with kid gloves; you (Hillary and her clan) don't get to play the "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!" card when you wanna sling ***** around and then play the victim card or the sexist card when your opponent turns up the heat.
As for her endorsing McCain; let her. If she does, he may or he may not win. What IS for sure, however, is that she would get NO help from the wealthy Obama coffers to pay off her roughly $30 million in debt, and her supporters have proven that they are incapable of funding her when she is a viable candidate, much less after she has lost.
Furthermore, her husband's Presidency would be tarnished by the wife who ruined the Democratic party.
And, lastly, her political career would be over. Neither Obama nor McCain would give her a job, she would lose her committee assignments in the Senate, denigrated to lonely junior senator from New York. And then, when 2012 rolls around, she will lose her bid for re-election when the solidly Democratic electorate in New York is reminded by the Democratic nominee for her Senate seat how they are now paying $10/gallon for gas because Hillary wanted to help McCain win.
So to your empty rhetoric, I say LET HER. She has proven she does not represent the democratic party and she would not be particularly missed. Thank you for reading my long-ass post.- JulyZerg, on 06/02/2008, -0/+2I thought it was very true - if she wants to act like a power-whore, then she's going to completely sink herself. She may be able to bring Obama with her, though. Which would be truly pathetic.
If she did, I doubt she'd be able to show herself in public again.

- penguinhope, on 06/02/2008, -9/+5I think Americans really need to take notice that this has not been a landslide for Obama & clearly there is a split among voters who they believe the best choice for the ticket should be. Clinton has proven herself on more then one occasion. Everyone needs to keep an open mind and realize the real obstacles if Obama should take the nomination - Im nervous for each and every American in this changing world & volatile economics... as well as our soldiers fighting home and afar for our freedom. I would prefer to see experience in the Oval office in these difficult times - speaking as a nonsupporter of Clinton and Obama. Everyone open your eyes and really look what is in front of us.
- deadbaby, on 06/02/2008, -1/+3She has about as much as experience as Obama when it comes to being President. Being the spouse of a President doesn't quality you for the job. If that were the case Laura Bush would be running instead of McCain.
I don't blame her for staying in but she's running out of time. It was her nomination to lose and she got beat by a better strategy from the Obama campaign. I personally think if one candidate totally outsmarts another on the way to the nomination they are inherently more qualified for the job. - RebeL5K, on 06/02/2008, -0/+3Non-supporter my ass. It has already been proven this election cycle that all of her "experience" is fabricated. That's why you will notice that she now campaigns on "Being a fighter" instead of her "experience" - because it, like your support, is non-existent.
- ronaldinho, on 06/02/2008, -0/+1So, penguinhope, are you telling us to vote for McCain? Honestly man, anyone but him. Can he help our economics? Unless he's Ron Paul in disguise. And I want our soldiers home. You are right in that Obama didn't win in a landslide and that Clinton has her good qualities, but personally I'm voting for Obama because Clinton lost her marbles more than one time (and that Obama is offering as much as what Clinton offers, if not more). And like deadbaby said, she's running out of time. I haven't been checking the news for two weeks and she hasn't been able to make a dent in Obama's sizable lead. I know she's going to hang on to the last second, but now the nomination is Obama's to lose, and I don't see that happening.

- empirefalling, on 06/02/2008, -7/+2Anyone who supports a war monger such as McCain, a man who had no second thoughts in bombing and killing innocent civilians in Vietnam, should be considered treacherous. The US does not need anyone like this in the Leaders office again.
- NightVortez, on 06/02/2008, -5/+1Let her campaign for as long as she wants, the convention is soon anyway, sick of hearing about her? Then stop bringing her up every goddamn second.
- insomniacal, on 06/02/2008, -1/+4"In many ways, Mr. Obama is wheezing across the finish line after making a strong start: He has won only 6 of the 13 Democratic contests held since March 4, drawing 6.1 million votes, compared with 6.6 million for Mrs. Clinton."
- coolkatz321, on 06/02/2008, -1/+3It's time for Obama to start hardcore campaigning in Michigan, Ohio, Florida, and the other big swing states. The polls aren't exactly tipping his way right now, so he better get his ass out there and start turning things around ASAP
- penguinhope, on 06/03/2008, -0/+0you might be right... but he has bashed Michigan on more then one occasion in the last 3 years.. trust me there will be many Michiganders who will not miss work or coffee to greet him this week in his campaign arrival. we have enough worries here in our economics -
- xrisnothing, on 06/02/2008, -2/+5Look at all of those rabid sexists who think you can't be sexist if you're female and you're automatically sexist if you don't support the female candidate!
Sorry, Hilldog, you lost. Maybe you should try running for the Democratic nomination next time and not the Republican. - reqork, on 06/02/2008, -1/+6someone get Hillary her juice box.
- scotishstriker, on 06/02/2008, -0/+2why are you getting buried? have they not seen young Hillary
- pond70, on 06/02/2008, -6/+2that chicks hot with her little black t-shirt on
- trixterIreland, on 06/02/2008, -0/+2That is just because of the way her mouth is shaped, as if its missing something that would quiet her down.

- moonbastic, on 06/02/2008, -2/+2It's true, no doubt about it. Obama has you diggbat youngin's, but as things progress, the moderates who actually vote consistently will swing things toward McCain.
Hillary was the only shot the Dems had. And now it's gone forever.

First paragraph of the article
The big drama now facing the Democratic Party in the presidential contest is how, when and even whether Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton will depart the race. - Somedude2137, on 06/02/2008, -1/+7MrBabyMan.................. buried for douchebaggery
- papipablo, on 06/02/2008, -2/+3Hopefully she resigns from the Senate next.
- BlackJackJester, on 06/02/2008, -0/+1Screw Florida and Michigan. Guess what, you have no constitutional right to vote in the primaries. You don't like that your party banned your state from voting, then switch parties.
- Dorepoll, on 06/02/2008, -1/+1Hillary is the only woman I would ever use the C word to describe.

- leubstop, on 06/02/2008, -0/+1Digg is funny.. few months ago the world Ron Paul guaranteed you 800 diggs... now the words "hate clinton" or "clinton resign" gets you 800... in a few months the words Mcain/Bush in any derogatory fashion will reward you with 800.. so lets try this...
Go Ron Paul!, F Clinton! & Mcain is OLD!.. this should guarantee this comment to grab 2400 diggs;) - mok000, on 06/02/2008, -1/+1Can you imagine what kind of president she would be? Obstinate, self-righteous, vindictive, and without any ties to reality. Kind of like... whatsizname... Bush...
- gkiltz, on 06/02/2008, -0/+0It WILL be interesting to see what kind of stunt she is going to pull at the convention!
Remember: Silly Billy's brain power is still involved here!
A well-executed scam makes for compelling television, at least!
Don't believe me: Monica lives in the UK now, and hasn't been back! - whodat51773, on 06/03/2008, -0/+1Obama has succeeded in creating a permanent divide within the democrat party. Thanks to him enough of those who align themselves with Hilliary (who couldn't run using her last name) will now vote for McCain.
The more America knows about Obama the less they like him. - shamsgames, on 07/30/2008, -0/+0It WILL be interesting to see what kind of stunt she is going to pull at the convention!
