- Veriander, on 09/13/2008, -0/+1Charlie Gibson was simply unable to disguise his built-in Liberal Media Bias. He tried but failed to appear 'objective' while attempting to make Palin out to be an idiot. His elitist "hubris" comment shows that he cannot conceive of Palin being a capable VP, much less a potential future President.
The uncontrollable, vicious spasm of attacks on Sarah Palin is an indicator of just how worried the Democrats are. Palin represents a real threat to the Obama campaign. Democrats are confronting the reality that the McCain/Palin ticket may just be a winning combination.
It's called the Grief Cycle. Dems are collectively working through Shock, Denial, and Anger. Soon they'll move on to Bargaining, and after November fourth they'll proceed to Depression and Testing. I doubt they'll ever reach Acceptance.
The most frightening thought in the Clinton contingent's mind is, "How can we possibly run Hillary against Sarah Palin in 2012?" A cheerful, charismatic Republican is a daunting prospect for the Left. (How well they remember Ronald Reagan.)
Their only course, and the one they are following, is to attempt her utter destruction through a barrage of hate-filled and ruthless attacks.
