- psiege, on 07/18/2008, -1/+16Brilliant, and accurate.
- allisonrose870, on 07/18/2008, -2/+16Its hard not to laugh and chuckle at the context of the statements in the article that paint a perfect picture of the arrogance and vanity of OB...
"Nonetheless, has there ever been a presidential nominee with a wider gap between his estimation of himself and the sum total of his lifetime achievements?" ... "His most memorable work is a biography of his favorite subject: himself. It is a subject upon which he can dilate effortlessly." ... "Amazingly, he had a quasi-presidential seal with its own Latin inscription affixed to his lectern, until general ridicule -- it was pointed out that he was not yet president -- induced him to take it down."
Obama is beyond ridiculous imo and its just as ridiculous if not more, how many people sing him praises because he's convinced the mindless he's worthy of it without having done anything to merit it, like CK opined correctly. But then suddenly the scary reality settles back in that this loonytoon could really be our next President. After all, it still amazes me that an entire country was suckered in by a sick and depraved racist like Hitler. Now we have a sick and depraved narcissist who wants to rule "we the people" under his own set of rules and dictates. Be afraid ... be very afraid!- Suneet67, on 07/19/2008, -2/+1what has mccain done to earn your vote and why do you think that he stands for anything?
- allisonrose870, on 07/20/2008, -0/+2that's your response to Obama being nothing more than a glamour boy with a rock star image the media swoons over!
Why do I need to justify McCain's candidacy because I agree with the *brilliant and accurate* opinion of CK?
I'll tell ya what ... why don't you tell me what OB has done to earn my vote and tell me what he stands for since the topic of this thread is Mesiah Obama and all that he hasn't done but thinks he is all that anyway!. But you won't, because you would have already instead of this lame game of turning the tables because you got nothing to say otherwise to rebut this articles summation of OB.
- allisonrose870, on 07/20/2008, -0/+2that's your response to Obama being nothing more than a glamour boy with a rock star image the media swoons over!
- Suneet67, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1I dont care about this perceived lack of experience because Obama's stance on the economy, the war on terror, Afghanistan, Iraq, health care, and education are more important issues for me than which ever candidate is more experienced.
Look allisonrose, i can concede to you that Obama is not as experienced as McCain but until you can make a reasonable argument for why his lack of political experience will deteriorate the efficacy of his core political message than there is ultimately no impact to your argument or CK's. Similarly, in a previous response to you i have made arguments for why experience this election is a bad thing; just look at McCain, during his tenure has flip flopped on core political issues 62 times. Go read last week's episode of the New Yorker and refer to the cover story that satirizes your political dispositions against Obama if you want to read a rebuttal to CK's arguments.
If you do not know what he stands for than thats your fault for not researching the candidate. IF you are actually interested in political issues than i suggest you visit: http://www.barackobama.com/issues/
to familiarize yourself with his campaign positions.

- fulibs, on 07/18/2008, -3/+11That is the million dollar question, exactly what does BO stand for?
I think most of the BO supporters would be hard pressed to find anything of substance. - elleigh2, on 07/18/2008, -1/+8Well, we know he has an ego that won't quit! His rock star status that the MSM has created is unbelievable! They are all following along like adoring little puppies with their tongues hanging out on his world tour. It will be B. Hussein Obama all the time with pictures and sound bites and his screaming fans from one third world country to another! Afterall, those countries don't hide the fact that they want the left in charge! God help us!
- Suneet67, on 07/19/2008, -3/+1do you know anyone currently fighting in the illegal American occupation of Iraq or Afghanistan that the American right has got us into? gave you had to attend any funerals for your friends that were dragged to fight for George W. in Iraq? It is ignorant and indicative of your incompetence to argue that Obama is comparable to a third world leftist dictator; in fact, bush is more comparable given his gross expansion of executive power via the patriot act and other constitutional violations like wire tapping...
keep berating Obama and voicing your fear for change... come november people like you will no longer be able to use your ignorant ideology to kill innocent people and destroy America's image abroad.- allisonrose870, on 07/20/2008, -0/+1someone sure can't stay on point worth a lick of ...! ah yes, more of Bush the dictator and nothing to counter the actual critique of Obama having ... well not much to stand on other than his ivy league background and his grandiose ego. why don't you go burn the American flag or something so you can feel better about yourself.
- Suneet67, on 07/21/2008, -0/+1I understand that an individual with intelligence might be unnerving for you considering his Ivy league background but to relegate my comment to Bush-bashing seems humorous. George W Bush and Clinton were governors before they took office. It seems like you are associating
experience with age. If thats the case it is true that Obama is young; but to deny that he has political experience is to overlook his career as a grass roots organizer in Illinois and his tenure as Illinois senator. Even if Obama is politically inexperienced, several of the best US presidents in history had comparatively less experience prior to accession to chief executive (FDR and Lincoln). And in this election experience is necessarily a bad thing given the current state of Washington. What does McCain's experience stand for given that he has flip flopped a RECORDED 62 times on key political issues?
I am surprised and confused as to why you would suggest that i go and burn the American flag to gain solace. Have you had to attend the funerals of your friends who died in Iraq? Is any of your family fighting this war on terror in the front lines? I believe that ideological disagreement is an inevitable part of the democratic process but to accuse liberals of wanting to burn the flag just indicts your own character and speaks volumes to the way you view America.
People like you sit comfortably in their homes and hope that things can go back to a simpler time but the truth is that the world is changing and your vote for McCain will NOT stop New York from going to Obama.
Have a good life.

- johnnyfistfight, on 07/18/2008, -1/+8Too many quotable lines in this brilliant Krauthammer piece.

- Suneet67, on 07/19/2008, -4/+2krauthammer is wrong; two president had a less accomplished record than Obama: FDR and Lincoln. The article further implies that McCain is an accomplished candidate but i ask you, with his close association to big business and lobbyists, how can you trust that he will do what is best for the average American citizen?
McCain supporters baffle me... as yall sit there in the conservative formus on Digg commenting away about Obama's inadequacy you ignore McCain's history of flip flops, his falsification of economic data to support his position, and his blatant ignorance about general world knowledge like what the internet is and the difference between sunnis and shias.
Nothing i can say will make you change your vote because of the sheer ignorance yall display regarding actual political issues and the candidate's positions towards Iraq, Afghanistan, the economy, civil liberties etc.... I retain solace knowing that your ideological skid mark upon the constitution and history of America will be Changed come November.
Enjoy berating Obama- allisonrose870, on 07/20/2008, -1/+2why don't you just address Obama's inadequacy if we are all so ignorant regarding where he stands on the issues. Cite something to show how we are mistaken in our estimation of him as so eloquently surmised by CK if you will...
- jayzDigga, on 09/11/2008, -0/+1He thinks he is Christ and so do others.
- flogistan, on 09/11/2008, -0/+1Which would explain why Krauthammer and the rest of the neocons have an irresistible compulsion to see him crucified
