- southwestnut, on 08/17/2008, -0/+5It was good to see how both senators held themselves without scripts. Sen. Obama did fairly well, but danced around the topics to much, not a lot of answers. Sen. McCain gave short and to the point answers. That is the kind of leadership we need in this country, a leader that can think for themselves and make the snap judgement when needed. Obama appears unable to do this, how can we expect him to handle business without having scripts in place? I lost a lot of confidence in him last night.
Oh, to all those that refer to McCain as McBush, or Bush III, McCain spoke pretty well for an elder chap. And you know it. :>) - NoDrama, on 08/18/2008, -4/+2Unfortunately, southwest, it emerges that McCain was well beyond "scripts" all the way to knowing both the questions and Obama's responses. Well, we're past wondering IF McCain cheated.
Now we're left to puzzle out WHY? http://obamesque.wordpress.com/2008/08/18/was-sadd ... http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/McCain_cheated_a ...
Why, and what it says about a man who will lie under these conditions.- southwestnut, on 08/19/2008, -0/+1You see, those were taken out of context. Heaven forbid we take Obama's comments out of context, but you seem the feel that it is fair game.
Obama just got trounced in that forum. You do not have the gumpture to admit that.
