First, in most places I could find, CFCs are said to be up to 40 times more potent greenhouse agents than CO2, not 10,000. Second, CFC release in the power plants mentioned was due to leaky coolant pipes, i.e. poor engineering and/or maintenance. Third, now that the US is on board with the Montreal Protocol, all designs for new reactors requiring the use, not to mention release, of CFCs are out of the question. And last, there are modern designs for nuclear reactors that are much safer, cleaner and more efficient. For an example, look up Pebble Bed Reactors - no CFCs there, that's for sure.
