The life expectancy has increased since Social Security was passed, and currently we have 2 generations living off the backs of 1 generation of workers. Most of the Baby Boomers haven't even hit retirement age. No civilization can sustain this burden! End Social Security and let the individuals be responsible for themselves and their families!

- V3n0M, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Well, the current plan leaves everyone in the next generation high and dry when the money is gone before we even hit midlife! Here's an idea, put some money in savings or investments instead of depending on your children and grand-children! Take some personal responsibility and accountability for how you spend your money and live your life! What a novel idea!!
