Good for Richardson, he did the right thing. I would say this if clinton and obama were in reverse rolls too.

Heh, this is an endorsement Hillary was expecting to get. Does anyone find it interesting that all of these former Clinton admin. officials are coming out of the woodwork to say that they wouldn't want to see her running the country? In fact, many of them are working for Obama's campaign now. Maybe they know too much about how she operates behind the scenes..

I think this may signify a shift in the superdelegates as a group. Watching interview after interview with superdelegates has given me the impression that they are basically waiting for one candidate to have lost the race (even though it can't be completed clinched without them). Richardson probably feels the race has now reached the point where Obama really has the race. Richardson is stepping up to bring the other superdelegates along with him and lead a movement to truly win the race for Obama.

I wish Richardson would have jumped on the Obama Train a little earlier! like.. before the Texas Primary.

It's about time. His endorsement would have been much more helpful prior to the New Mexico primary. Nevertheless, this is a good sign because Richardson had served in Bill Clinton's administration, so to endorse Hillary's opponent it probably means that he has concluded she longer has a chance of winning the nomination.

Richardson was such a long time ally of the Clintons. What does that say about Hillary?

Richardson had been under pressure to endorse Hillary, but I'm glad he throw his support to Obama when he needs the most. If you recall during Richardson's short live candidacy he had a message of bipartisanship and unity so I'm impress that they both share the same message.

Avoid deifying the Presidential candidates in any way, shape or form. Haven't you seen the degree to which Bush has abused the meme that he's 'Appointed by God'? Treat these people as what they are: job applicants, not heroes, not messiahs, not saviors - Obama included.

Early on, I supported Richardson over any candidate. In my opinion, he has the most relevant experience to deal with the current problems of the country. Being the energy secretary and his foreign relations background, I wanted him to win. Now, I have no doubt I want Obama. Richardson would be a great running mate, if not, he'd make a great Secretary of State.

I knew Richardson would endorse Obama. I was kind of hoping it would happen sooner…

Now if only we can get Al Gore and John Edwards to join in.

I have a lot of respect for Richardson and I think he held back his endorsement until Obama needed a boost. Hopefully Gore and Edwards will endorse him soon.

I like Richardson a lot. He has a ton of good political experience and also graduated from the Fletcher School at Tufts. He wouldn't be a bad choice for VP at all.

I still don't understand why people keep drinking the Hillary Kool-Aid. She still refuses to release her tax documents, which says a lot considering that 8 years ago when she was running for Senator, she kept calling out her opponent because he wouldn't release his. I simply don't trust her anymore. She's running a crap campaign and taking every political cheap shot that she can. Somehow people are still buying into it. It baffles me.

So Hillary, you sure you want a redo in Florida? I hear there's a lot of latinos down there?

This will get Obama a lot of support from people who mistake Richardson for Canadian actor Graham Greene of Maverick fame.

Finally! About time, Richardson. I wish it had been earlier, but this is good and welcome news.

At the beginning of the race, he was working hard to be named Hillary's running mate. Now he's trying to become Obama's.

To the people who think Richardson has betrayed the Clintons:
Understand that he waited until after Texas, and gave NM to the Clintons. He just loves America and the DNC more.

None of the Biggies in the democrat party (Bill Richardson, Edwards, Nancy Pelosi and Al Gore) are going to endorse Clinton....so its only a matter of time of when she'll drop it. This race is over.

I think Richardson was waiting around to endorse the front runner - so as to put himself in line for the VP spot. And for good reason - I think he's the best qualified candidate to provide a balanced Democratic ticket. As a governor, Richardson has that budget and state management experience not necessary for congressmen and senators. In addition, his foreign policy experience fits in perfectly with Obama's lack of it. Obama/Richardson in '08!

In response to Obama's falling ratings, this nation isn't ready for somebody who tells them the truth. They'd prefer one of the innumerable political spin doctors Washington inexhaustibly churns out every day, somebody who tells them what they want to hear. Then, 4-to-8 years later, when everything has gone to *****, they can be soothed by another one and rally behind him (or her). As long as they don't have to be intellectually challenged enough to be asked to see something other than what they want to see.

Before the Texas/Ohio primary day Richardson flat out said on the Sunday morning shows that whomever came out with the most delegates after that week was should be the nominee. And since it was almost mathmatically impossible for Clinton to catch up at that point, it was pretty clear he was pointing at Obama. Had to be a tough one for Clinton, even tougher than the Teddy Kennedy endorsement (not that that helped anyone). Time did this whole story about how Clinton was hanging out with Richardson watching the Super Bowl this year in NM. It's obvious they were friends. I have to wonder in his heart of hearts if bill Clinton even WANTS his wife to win ;)

Congratulations Bill Richardson. Now if only more Democratic leadership would get on the TRAIN FOR CHANGE in America. The Democrats must come together now to fight the inevitable dirt, smear and sleaze machine from the radical far right Republicans that will come. Finally I feel Obama is on a winning roll and the outlook for this change in America will occur. The upper crust and elitist in America are already thinking of alternatives to acquire more ill gotten gains for the future. Hopefully average Americans will not enrich the rich with giveaways to them by another Republican with programs such as, "Trickle down economics".

The 1990's were a decade of peace and prosperity because of the competent and enlightened leadership of the Clinton administration, but it is now time for a new generation of leadership to lead America forward. Barack Obama will be a historic and a great President, who can bring us the change we so desperately need by bringing us together as a nation here at home and with our allies abroad. "

He obviously has a lot of respect and admiration for the Clintons, but realizes that what this country needs now after having its reputation butchered over the last 8 years is Obama.
