"The surge worked, I want you to admit to the American people that you were wrong. Why can't you just admit that you were wrong?" What an ass. If a reporter had taken the same track with McCain or one of his staffers, McCain would simply pull the plug and would have stopped talking with the entire network completely. Imagine a reporter saying something like, "Senator McCain, clearly Governor Palin is the least experienced person you could have selected to be Vice President, further this choice is coming off to the vast majority of independents as political pandering. I want you to admit that your support of Governor Palin was a mistake. Why can't you just admit that you made a mistake when you made Governor Palin your running mate?" You'd see a bona fide tantrum from McCain and a blackout.
