Barack Obama Compares Pro-Life Senator to Terrorist
lifenews.com — Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Pro-abortion presidential candidate Barack Obama is under fire today for comparing a pro-life senator to a domestic terrorist responsible for setting off bombs and never apologizing. Obama made the comments during Wednesday night's Democratic debate with Hillary Clinton.

"The fact is, is that I'm also friendly with Tom Coburn, one of the most conservative Republicans in the United States Senate, who during his campaign once said that it might be appropriate to apply the death penalty to those who carried out abortions," Obama said.
"Do I need to apologize for Mr. Coburn's statements? Because I certainly don't agree with those either," he added.
That is a fair, rational use of an EXAMPLE of how this notion of guilt-by-acquaintance can go ridiculously crazy.- shackbar, on 04/17/2008, -1/+6Obama compared a doctor who has never been accused of engaging in violent acts with a terrorist. That may be Obama's "new politics" but it's a smear to rest of us.
- prolifemama, on 04/17/2008, -4/+13Blessed be the name of Jesus.
Far more than just being friends with him, the reported stated that "An early organizing meeting for your state senate campaign was held at his house." It's one thing to wave to a passing fellow senator, quite another to have an organizational campaign meeting at the home of an unapologetic domestic terrorist.
Obama isn't just guilty-by-acquaintance, he's guilty by complicity. - drachemorder, on 04/17/2008, -2/+13There are some things you just can't tolerate in a friend. One of those would be unrepentant terrorism. Actually setting off bombs is a far, far cry from advocating the LEGAL outlawing of abortion and the LEGAL application of consequences for violating that law, which is what Coburn proposed.
- InRussetShadows, on 04/17/2008, -3/+12Obama is a sloppy thinker who can't tell the difference between "love your neighbor as yourself" and "kill whitey". Apparently, his inability to make informed judgments also pertains to his choice of friends. Looks like the Dems sure know how to choose the losers.
- KJeffV, on 04/17/2008, -4/+9Ecumenism: a sure sign of the end.
- herecomes, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2No it isn't.
- KJeffV, on 04/18/2008, -2/+2Yes, it is.
- herecomes, on 04/18/2008, -0/+2No it isn't.
- SEGA4life, on 04/17/2008, -3/+9I think Obama is in a "sleeper cell" just waiting for the right moment to jump out of the cake and yell "surprise"....
- pilobilus, on 04/17/2008, -6/+5Buried for the "pro abortion" smear. Not to mention the crypto-Satanist so called Christians who seem to be coming out of the woodwork: Plenty of people who call themselves Christian worship Satan with blind devoted adoration, because he was clever enough to put on his Jesus suit when he came calling. Does your "Jesus" hate... anyone? Does He approve of bombing... any inhabited region? Does He reward his faithful followers... with money, power, position? Then you have a very serious problem, see Matthew 24:24
- victorypup, on 04/18/2008, -2/+7My Jesus does not approve of abortion, and homosexuality, what about yours?
- flip2trip, on 04/18/2008, -2/+6"Does your "Jesus" hate... anyone?" No.
Does He approve of bombing... any inhabited region? Exodus 32:26 then Moses stood in the entrance of the camp, and said, “Whoever is on the LORD’s side—come to me!” And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him. 27 And he said to them, “Thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘Let every man put his sword on his side, and go in and out from entrance to entrance throughout the camp, and let every man kill his brother, every man his companion, and every man his neighbor.’” 28 So the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses. And about three thousand men of the people fell that day.
"Does He reward his faithful followers... with money, power, position? " What about King David? - herecomes, on 04/18/2008, -3/+2My Jesus is a delusional schizophrenic who pranced around Israel spouting a load of fine-sounding nonsense which duped a bunch of pathetic losers into following him. Then those losers convinced other losers, and so on and so forth. Eventually, there were so many of these losers that Constantine figured that instead of executing them all, entertaining as it was, he would just adopt the religion as a means of controlling the masses. It worked pretty well until Martin Luther mucked it up with the doctrine of the two kingdoms and things went downhill from there. Until the late 20th century when some stupid neocons in the U.S. who had never heard of Thomas Jefferson started trying to say that the First Amendment meant that religion should be part of government and people who weren't religious shouldn't have any rights, which got things headed in the right direction again.
- KJeffV, on 04/18/2008, -3/+3You realize, of course, that "neocons" are actually libs, do you not?
- MisterFreeze, on 04/18/2008, -1/+3Sure they are, genius.
- KJeffV, on 04/19/2008, -3/+2Evidently you have a lot of serious reading to catch up on.
- KJeffV, on 04/20/2008, -1/+3"The radicalism called the `New Left´ that defined and dominated the `60s was intolerable to not only conservatives; it was too much f/certain kinds of liberals as well: Dissenting libs of this period represented a wide spectrum, incl'g frmr communists, socialists, Old Leftists, New Dealers, left-liberals, as well as garden-variety libs. These abandoned—largely or entirely—doctrinaire socialism . . . w/o having wholly sloughed off their revolutionary instincts & statist assumptions and certainly w/o having replaced them w/Rightist (traditional) ones. They called themselves—and were soon called by everyone else—the `neo-conservatives,´ although the term `neo-liberals´ would have suited them just as well, as Wm Kristol, ed of the `Weekly Standard,´ recently admitted.
"In the main, they were and are northeastern academics, opinion journalists, & policy experts associated w/various think tanks & similar institutes, as well as well-regarded scholars and well-placed writers to effect the fusion of responsible liberalism w/conservatism to create (what they regard) an updated & enlightened version of the traditional variety that would, in time, crowd out the old conservatism fr/the public square." — Chilton Williamson, Jr- KJeffV, on 04/21/2008, -1/+3OK, it's obvious you're reading along and silently disapproving. Hint: You're on the road to education. Now, here's your big chance to go to the top of this particular learning heap w/o letting your little lib friends know what, exactly, you're up to. Look up "Leo Strauss," and read whatever you can find. I'll even rec Left-friendly sites such as Wiki or Google, so you're not initially outside your comfort zone.
No need to report back since informed readers already know what you're going to find.

Sounds just like Obama to me.
- flip2trip, on 04/18/2008, -2/+5I think B.O. would come out better if he'd just admit he hates whites and loves terrorists. Every time he tries to explain his remarks he sticks his foot in his mouth.
- prolifemama, on 04/18/2008, -3/+3The more we sit back and let the the proabort/prosocializedmed/proterrorism/ libs talk, the less work we'll be doing come November. The dems will have paved a very rough road for us with their tongues.
