- rbarry13, on 05/27/2008, -3/+38Andy, I basically did exactly the same thing you did today!!! I sent a letter to the editor of my local paper, this very morning...I could take no more from Hillary...her comment on Bobby Kennedy thing, well that hurt me; really badly. I lived through Bobby Kennedy's dying and I was very young; and it was traumatic to say the least! She is done, worse than toast, for this latest huge plunder...it does not matter whether she meant there could be an assassination, it only need matter that she used that term and that reference to plead her case!? It makes no real sense anyway; since that whole scenario was forty years ago...and the process is very different, and certainly the time frame is not the same! She has become, as you said here, just a sad soon to be forgotten footnote, in this 2008 Democratic nomination; and the Clinton legacy ends here with her.
- Reaper2806, on 05/29/2008, -0/+6I am a huge Obama supporter for so many reasons. One of the key reasons is his call for a new breed of politics. That government tackle issues and not tackle the opposition party. Hillary's comments are exactly what the US needs to move away from. The biggest threat to America is it's own split gorvernment, who block eachother, instead of working together to ensure everyone's intrests are served as well as possible.
Hillary's only message should have been that she could lead the nation forward as well as anyone, not that she was gambling on the death of a rival. Should she somehow gain the nomination, is she hoping McCain will become ill due to the stress of the campaign. rather than debate over policies and plans for the future of the country?

- Etherwood, on 05/28/2008, -5/+26Here's what the same writer, Andy Ostray, said exactly seven days ago on Huffington Post:
"Now, I'm going to go out on a very big limb here and say that race is at the root of this 2008 willful forgetfulness. That the rules are being overlooked because Obama is black. Because Democrats, as a general rule, are so insanely obsessed with being politically-correct that they cannot stomach the thought of how they'd be perceived within the black community if Obama's anticipated coronation were to be overturned."
I'm going to skip celebrating this moral epiphany from a guy who has willfully ignored lying about sniper fire, going back on a signed pledge not to count MI and FL, Obama's-not-a Muslim-as-far-as-I-know and the declaration that Sen. Bomb Bomb Iran McCain would make a better Commander-in-Chief than Sen. Barack Obama.- monoa, on 05/29/2008, -0/+3That's what I struggle to understand - how could anyone still support her after SniperGate? It's not "misspeaking" when you describe something multiple times, in great detail. It's either delusion or dishonesty. If people want those two character traits in the next president, just vote Bush in for a third bite of the cake.
- reuscel, on 05/28/2008, -1/+25It doesn't matter anymore because the media is basically ignoring Hillary and focusing on the general election between Obama and McCain. Hillary is obviously livid about this, and as a result will say inflammatory gibberish like this just to make sure she still gets media coverage. It's ***** shameful.
- dsmyre, on 05/29/2008, -0/+11Hillary: "I will not be ignored!" Then boils the bunny.
- LadyDoor, on 05/28/2008, -5/+7Wow, That was awesome. Thanks for sharing that with us.
- MrMetal, on 05/28/2008, -2/+11*****... awesome! Well said, the opinion of many Democrats couldn't be stated any better.
- godzillaWax, on 05/29/2008, -2/+14It took the author until the assassination gaffe to realize Hillary was a soulless leach?
- TheBogie, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1I know. It's almost like admitting that you're stupid at this point. So this guy ignored all the crap from Hilliary for the past year (lies about Obama being Muslim, lies about supporting CAFTA, lies about her support of NAFTA in the 90's, lies about the Iraq war, the hoddam nonexistent Bosnian snipers, and on and on and on).
All this crap was A.O.K. for this dumb ass but NOW Hilliary is evil and wrong??
I actually think people are overreacting to this one. Of course, at this point, Hilliary could be talking about how big my balls are every day and it still wouldn't change my opinion of her.

- AndrewDB, on 05/29/2008, -3/+10It's strange, but I (as an Obama supporter) really feel sorry for Chelsea..
Knowing her parents are habitually and continuously lying to the United States people all the while destroying their "legacy" must be such a hard thing to bear with a straight face..
I just hope she doesn't go into politics, even if both of her parents (and you know they will) force her to..- godzillaWax, on 05/29/2008, -0/+4She lost the right to any sympathy when she hit the campaign trail hard. She's a grown woman, nearly 30. If she wanted out of the life of lies and sleazebaggery, she could have walked away years ago.
- AndrewDB, on 05/29/2008, -2/+1She only hit the campaign trail with because she's old enough to have a presence to try and attract the 18-30 range.
You can almost bet that if Obama's two daughters were old enough to be out in the opening with him, they'd be right along side him happily smiling away.
The illusion of a good close family makes a better outward appearance to the voter's mind.
So in that sense, Chelsea does deserve some (some, but not much), sympathy.. for taking the fact that her parents are flushing their "legacy" down the toilet, and being so bold and straight faced about it.- godzillaWax, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1So you're saying a 29 year old woman does not have the ability to make her own choices? She deserves no sympathy.
- AndrewDB, on 05/29/2008, -2/+1She only hit the campaign trail with because she's old enough to have a presence to try and attract the 18-30 range.
- queenbee93, on 05/29/2008, -0/+4Chelsea will be just fine. Already, she knows how to parse, avoid questions and lie for her mom about the Bosnia trip. No doubt those pathological genes run deep in that child as well as good manners. You may see things to be ashamed of and a failing legacy of both Hill and Bill, but that does not mean Chelsea will. If nothing else, she can just lie to herself and say all is okay--haven't you learned anything from watching Hillary? Like the truth is not based on reality, but with a goal and what she chooses to believe at any given moment. Chelsea is probably the same.
You see a failing Hillary and a battered Bill? Maybe Chelsea sees a mom on the brink of ascendancy to the Presidency. After all, her mom and dad say it is so--so who should Chelsea believe? Her parents or souless media and pundits who are running their mouths. In the end, Chelsea is a Clinton so what she believes and the choice is clear.

- thelastwarrior, on 05/29/2008, -1/+5Hillary,
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE GET THE HELL OUT OF THE RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - emeralddragon, on 05/29/2008, -9/+0Yes, stop getting in the way of the Obama coronation! Buried as yet another Obama dittohead spam.
- NSResponder, on 05/29/2008, -0/+8This of course begs the question of why the author supported Hillary in the first place. It's not like it was hard to figure out that she was a power-hungry harpy back when she ran for the senate.
-jcr - duncanm, on 05/29/2008, -1/+7I was a Hillary supporter, too... but that was before she left me aghast and upset with her blatant selfishness.Obama filled my void with a renewed optimism. Now, let's just cross our fingers, hope and pray that Obama can deliver on the dreams that he is seeding in all of us.
- jdowland, on 05/29/2008, -1/+4Hillary should drop out of the race and endorse Obama. It has gone on for too long...
- eavesdrop, on 05/29/2008, -1/+3It's sad that the author listed all those things and said "We still supported you, we admired you". Starting a new feminist movement? Please. But the "straw that broke the camel's back" was the RFK comment.
God some people are naive. I'm just glad people finally woke the f*** up. - warrenterr, on 05/29/2008, -1/+4"a sad footnote in history" ... ouch.
- ysss, on 05/29/2008, -2/+2Great write up, shame for the unnecessary profanities though.
- Nicholaskathy, on 05/29/2008, -6/+1Clinton has taken Kentucky and Obama is right there in Oregon.
The Democratic race for nomination is still very much alive – and most likely to be decided by superdelegates – as CNN points out clearly
http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/20/primary ...
If you’re tired of waiting around for those super delegates to make a decision already, go to LobbyDelegates.com and push them to support Clinton or Obama
If you haven't done so yet, please write a message to each of your state's superdelegates at http://www.lobbydelegates.com
Obama Supporters:
Sending a note to current Obama supporters lets them know it's appreciated, sending a note to current Clinton supporters can hopefully sway them to change their vote to Obama, and sending a note to the uncommitted folks will hopefully sway them to vote for Obama. It's that easy...
Clinton Supporters too …. !
It takes a moment, but what's a few minutes now worth to get Clinton in office?! Those are really worth !

- queenbee93, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1Either you have a point-- or personally, a note from someone from the opposite camp would be perceived by me as insulting and if it continued, harassment. My choice is not about entitlement for a candidate or about promoting my gender or about race--it is about values, ideas and principles. To me, on candidate is closer to reflecting the best in us, and one is not--I won't vote for the other one just so the Dems can have a win--because due to some of the things that have occurred in this campaign season--at least one of the candidates behavior and remarks are the antithesis of what I believe. So to get a note from a supporter of that candidate would never work. Unlike a lot of people, I am actually listening and reviewing what is said by each candidate--I don't hold them accountable for what others around them do--I am watching THEM and one is definitely coming up short and to my mind would be very dangerous in office.

As reported on ABC and MSNBC this week a curious thing has happened--Clinton supporters are less mad at Obama and more mad at the DNC and the Media, but more and more Obama supporters are getting to the point of almost hatred against HRC and so.... that threat about payback or revenge voting that the HRC camp has been bleating all along has now taken hold. Many Obama supporters claim that they will not only NOT support a Hillary hostile takeover, but that if the HRC crowd throw the election to McCain this year, they will NEVER vote for Hillary in 2012. Because payback is a bitch and a knife cuts both ways.
HRC supporters always fail to realize this--this is why they do all kinds of dirt to the Obama campaign and say all sorts of things...but as soon as the tables are turned, they are crying "no fair" and "shame". You get back what you dish out--take a good look at what has been dished out-then really think about your open letter idea. It would not get read--especially since to support the other, each supporter would have to betray their own candidate or ideas. Personally, I can never support HRC. Not just now--not ever. She is a pathological liar, she does not keep her promises, but mostly she is a sociopath, meglamaniacal driven person who says and does things so reprehensible to my value and principle system that I could never support her under any circumstances. To support her ever is to endorse her and her antics--and I'd rather lose and stay clean than wallow with a pig and say at least I won. What would be won? I truly believe Clinton is Bush with a vagina.

- Eliot99, on 05/29/2008, -0/+3The obvious question is what will she do after Tuesday? There are no primary contests left. Will she continue to campaign as Obama clearly will? She seems to have 2 choices. Stop campaigning and appear to concede or continue to campaign. If she continues she will have to come up with money to do it. She will also be forced to campaign against McCain since the Primary is over. The problem is that McCain will not be campaigning against her. Does she continue to campaign or stop?
- amightywind, on 05/29/2008, -7/+2Fight on to the end Hillary. The Superdelegates have not lined up behind Obomber because they see he is weak in the general election against McCain. Hillary can win the midwest swing states and Florida. Obomber cannot.
- ericthegreat, on 05/29/2008, -4/+2Enough Huffington Post Spam
- queenbee93, on 05/29/2008, -0/+2Hillary and Bill seem to say a lot of things that if taken the way they say them COULD be racist--but they always have enough wiggle room to say the way it was said was not the way it was meant or that their comments were twisted. We all know people like this--assholes who say something insulting then say "that everyone just took it the wrong way" And they keep doing it. The question is, do we want such an ***** (and her mate) in the White House so we can give them 4 years of screwing us over only to be told when re election comes around that "we aren't really clusterfvcked--we are just taking it the wrong way"?
- FarEastKilla, on 05/29/2008, -0/+2I have always been an independent, even before Lou and even O'reilly, dems never seize to amaze me with their lack of team work and constant "civil wars". Mrs. HC is nothing short of a power digging you know what, treating this primary like a devoice settlement, she is fighting for at least half of disqualified votes which she signed off and agreed to before the primary. I understand HC wants to keep "their" white house therefore all pre written rules must change according to her will, while using voter's right to shield her true agenda.. But imagine if us common folks calls mulligan on the contract we signed. those sub-prime loans for example, that would be great, but rules are rules, nothing will be changed. Maybe HC doesn't have to play by the rules she signed and agreed to, maybe I am just being sexist for calling her out on this, but the common sense says other wise.
love her or not, the dem "kids" are the ones who gets screwed in the end, just like in any "messy divorce".
My advice,
All dems need to WAKE UP and realize the saying "divide and conquer", and mrs. HC has been doing a lot of dividing, ON HER OWN TEAM, while repubs are quietly laughing all the way to the bank... again!
Welcome to America!
Jacksonville, FL - parkhead, on 05/29/2008, -5/+0well that was rather gay

Ridiculously great opening statement.- junkwheel, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1You should read the rest.
He told her to stop dragging her ass along the carpet two thirds down.
- junkwheel, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1You should read the rest.
- Blitzenn, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1I applaud Andy for FINALLY seeing the light of day again. I however think people should also apply his own argument to him too. Andy stood by Hillary while she was digging the hole, much like most of the country did when G.W. was diggin the Iraq hole. We need to, as a people, get better at recognizing these 'heralds' who don't know when to let go until it is too late and remove them from their soap box.
Sorry Andy, you are too late for me to regain any respect for you either. You couldn't see disaster until it was up to your earlobes. That's just as dumb as the person who created the disaster. - moedawg, on 05/29/2008, -0/+1So apparently there are going to be "thousands" of pro-Hillary protesters outside the Rules & Bylaws Committee meeting this Saturday and Obama people are being encouraged to stay away. Maybe that's because someone on the Obama campaign checked DC weather for Saturday - this brings a smile to my face:
http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/ge ... - asiantoast, on 05/29/2008, -0/+0this is probably the best article i've read regarding hillary's demise. I couldn't have put it any better.
I picked up this shirt online the other day - www.clintonfatigue.us - before i read this article, i thought it was the best way to explain how i feel.
it's still a pretty sweet shirt though, haha. check it out if you really can't stand clinton and agree with this article.
