    • RuffRidr, on 07/15/2008, -1/+4While I don't vote single issue, I do believe that the 2nd Amendment is a very important one. To me it is a litmus test of sorts. If a politician can so easily discard it from the Constitution it tells me that he does not hold the highest laws of our land in very high regard.
  • fulibs, on 07/15/2008, -1/+4I have always felt better knowing that if some asshat breaks into my house I am within my legal rights to blow them to pieces with the weapon of my choice, and I firmly believe that this is one of the reasons these asshats don't do it more often.
  • MadOgre, on 07/15/2008, -1/+3Let's never forget fella's.... the Second says nothing about Hunting or Personal Defense, those were taken for granted as obvious. The Founding Fathers meant standing up against national threats and our own government. This means the same guns as the military uses... they said ARMS, not just Muskets or Rifles. Arms also means plural. More than one gun.

    Unfortunately he isn't the only one who seems to think the Constitution would make better confetti than a model to govern from. We will probably never know the depths of his ignorance and arrogance unless and until he is POTUS, God forbid. fulibs has it right - it just isn't safe for the honesty-challenged thieves to break into a gun owner's home!
