I keep hearing about how Obama has trouble winning the votes of "ordinary people". I think the euphemism has gone on long enough. These folks here are by no means ordinary or "average". They are extraordinarily, outside the standard deviation, stupid. - NoDrama, on 05/13/2008, -0/+3LOL! It was Bill Clinton who set the bar, he said Hillary's going to get 80% of W.Va's vote. It was such a switch from the prior tactics for managing expectations that I'm sure the Obama campaign was more than happy to go along with it. You have to wonder two things:
First, was Bill setting the bar high in hopes of ending the campaign soon, and
Second, just what the spread will mean in W.Va -for instance, would a 67/33 split signal Obama doing well or not? Hillary was unconcerned about getting only 33% of the (overwhelmingly white) vote in MN, for example. Just how big a win does she need to stay in?
