- merkk, on 07/25/2008, -1/+5I wonder just how bad things would have to get before people get seriously upset? It's quite possible the current president wasn't elected. It's quite possible he stole the election. And even though his popularity is finally in the toilet, people don't really care.
Personally, i think the politicians will be able to get away with a LOT more before people get really pissed off. As long as poeple dont have to work more then 40 hours a week, have their crap tv shows to watch and enough to eat, you can probably do whatever the hell you want with the country and most people wont care.

- rhinocero, on 07/26/2008, -1/+2To be fair, there's no federal agency overseeing voting because voting is done on a state-by-state basis, which makes a lot of sense given the need for state and local elections. Also, such an agency probably wouldn't do much good.
